Notice how there are no transitions in THE VILLAGE. Just simple straight cuts, if n0t sound and dialogue bridges to give the smooth flow from scene to scene. I like that kind of discipline in the way Manoj cut the said film, to think he was using an NLE.

He must have mastered the way he controls the RHYTHMIC RELATIONSHIP between each scene because if someone is inept in this dimension of editing, you can get away with it by using transitions... especially when you're editing on NLE.

Now that I know Shyamalan can do Rhythmic and Temporal Editing (the somewhat chronological displacement at the end of THE VILLAGE), I want to see him do some graphic match, graphic editing is also one of the 4 or 5 dimensions of motion picture editing.

Wouldn't it be nice to see some graphic match editing see some of that in LADY IN THE WATER.

the only one movie that i didn't see was unbreakable. was it good? so far i like all of his movies.

i'll be waiting for this movie.

UNBREAKABLE is very good. The first scene has everything to do with the last... And that's always the kind of cohesion you're looking for in good stories.

Anyone see the TEASER in Harry Potter 4?

Josh Groban daw ang title... gets me excited it's nowhere online yet.....

It would be a waste of money just to see this and walk out of the theater cos I'm NOT interested in Harry Potter.

I've seen the trailer... seems very good and they are not giving away any details yet.!

this is one movie i am going to wait for next year!

I thought his teaser for "The Village" was also very good the one voiced over by William Hurt.....

Many were pissed by the misdirection in that one because The Village wasn't a horror film per se........ Anyone, this is a more honest trailer and although I haven't seen it I'm sure it's indeed a TEASE.

i will definitely watch this movie. i like shymalan's film. i enjoyed watching the village a lot. it was an intelligent film and only a few people will be able to understand why it was such.
