That and the fact that the only thing that is preventing total anarchy and chaos in the Philippines is the fear of hell and eternal damnation.

That's why STDs in the Philippines have been so low until BPOs started popping up in the Philippines.

Until such a time the Philippines stops electing Manny, Tito, Alma, Erap and other people like them to office it is not a good idea for the Philippines to be god-less.

Other saving one's soul the Holy Bible provides a frame work for a functional society before modern agriculture and modern medicine happened.

Hence Sodom and Gomorrah could never work back then but it does so today.

Before modern farming and vaccines the world population held at 1 billion. Today because of these modern advances the world population is now exceeding 7.4 billion.

So the question is, do we really need more straight people to make more babies who will all live to their 70s?

Or is it better than less people reproduce so we do not have to send so many kids to school, feed them, clothe them, shelter them or find jobs for them.

More people only means more demand on basic commodities and that requires large tracks of forest and farmlands.

In contrast to a fan who can see no evil in what Manny proposes in "putting to death" the LGBT.

Manny should stay a boxer or better yet a Pastor. Bigotry and discrimination has no place in public office.
i agree.well love him or hate him, people will vote for him. history will tell you that philippine voters will go for someone who is popular. time and time again philippine elections have proven that. nothing much you can do. you can keep complaining here on this website while manny will probably win a senate seat and will start counting his 200Million PDAF/PB per annum.while you keep on working and paying your taxes to feed his PDAF.hahaha.

That's what Hitlers and Nazis did in WW2.
didn't Manny mention in the whole interview (which you said you watched) he does not condemn gays and lesbians? you should watch that part explaining his context..

as for the off topic vote or should not vote for Manny, at least he did something for his people he represented in Congress..building houses was the best one he did so far... yeah, he only has 4 days attendance but most congressmen are actually only present during roll calls.. i do agree, he doesn't seem to belong in legislation but hey, we have lots of laws already that only needs strict implementation.. in the end, i don't mind.. i gave up voting a long time ago..

also, i don't think he likes to salvage that Nike deal because it's not a monetary deal anyways..

Nike, cut their ties because of what Manny said in the interview. Anong palusot naman ninyo ni Manny for that?

HBO, the broadcaster of his fight with Bradley, distances itself from Manny. If they were not contractually obliged to broadcast the fight they wouldn't.

The interviews varies from comparing LGBT to animals, putting them to death and saying the acts are offensive to God.

It's 2016 and not 1620 and neither is the Philippines the country of Afghanistan, everything he said deserves the cancellation of his contract and the anger of the LGBT and educated people worldwide.

Below is a screen grab of what Manny kept on his Instagram for 2 hours until someone who was smart probably clued Manny to delete it.

Onto the off topic, which in reality is really on topic because he said these disgusting things to push his poll numbers up.

The job of a congressman is not to build houses.

The job of a congressperson are the following

    1) Attending Sessions of Congress and Voting

    2) Representation

    3) Constituency Service

    4) Oversight and Investigation

In the 4 days he has shown up at Congress has he done a good job at accomplishing any of these things?

In the DZMM interview he wants to make govt more godly, has he accomplished that in the 4 days he was in Congress?

If he wanted to make houses then be a real estate developer. As Karen Davilla mentioned, if he wants more God in the country then be a pastor.

He claims to be self funded in building those houses so why does he need to be a congressman to accomplish this?

Gawad Kalinga does this 365 days a year and they're not in congress.

I would much prefer Manny put all his philanthropy money into doubling DepEd classrooms and paying for their operational costs.

Only through education can a person make it in the Philippines without needing to get their skulls smushed in weeks before the election.

In all societies and nations voters will always choose someone they can most relate to or a reflection of who they are. This is not isolated to the Philippines.

If your vote does not follow the majority who put these characters to power then do not be offended by my statement.

Whether Manny said those anti-LGBT statements or not he is a shoe-in for the Senate.

The question is what will his ranking will be? Will he serve 6 years or 3 years?

Now, if you want improvements you need to improve the critical thinking of the electorate and perhaps improve their income.

When a person has a substantial economic stake in how their country is run then they will vote accordingly.

i don't know where you get this information but based on my observation, philippine voters had always voted who is more popular or who has the most popular family name.

Your statement is the inoffensive way of stating what I just said.

Ex. If a known thief is placed into power by the people does it then mean that those who voted for this person are also kawatan?

"what Manny said in the interview" before the whole video was released.. why would people make palusot for Manny when Manny already said it's no big deal because Nike has no monetary obligations with Manny.. only apparels DURING FIGHT only.. besides, he did mention he respects Nike's decision.. that's commendable..

Any business entity would especially in the US will unshockingly distance themselves with Manny and there is nothing wrong with that.. it's pure business.. LGBT community has numbers as well..

To prevent the escalation of the issue, Manny deleted it.. besides, it's what in the bible.. why aren't people do worldwide condemnation of the bible?

Hahaha! I don't know about that.. does he need it? he's already popular.. he was asked and he answered.. so TV5 must have been paid? and later on cut the video to make Manny look bad? come on...

He may not be doing a good job at legislation but most of the congressmen didn't either.. at least Manny is helping his people and that's what matters most.. and as I have said, legislation is not for him but as long as he's getting money from the government and give it to his people (plus his own), that's commendable.. who's doing what he's doing?

Maybe not but I bet he's doing what he could..

hahaha! seriously? i think he wants to join government so that the people's money should be spent for the people..

if that is his only purpose then he should be.. but he wants to help as well, he wants people's money be spent for the people and not to the pockets of politicians..

being in the government makes his project easier to implement.. he spends his own money and ALSO he spends government money for the people..

people are so harsh to Manny maybe because they didn't know him or followed his life.. are people just envious? or maybe they don't want someone who looks dumb (which I don't believe) to be in government? or maybe just naive hatred..

people have to realize the guy is helping his people.. a guy who used to be the Philippine's pride placing the country on the map of pugilism.. a cinderella story.. humble and God-fearing... i don't understand the hatred...

it's a good move to be in the government because he might get bankrupt if he uses his own money all through out..
