Bro. You can actually apply for a DOST-ERDT scholarship. Mao na siyay uso run kung gnahan ka mu pursue ug graduate studies. Waived na imong tuition ana and you are given 17k monthly stipend non-taxable (not bad, mas dako pa gani ni siya compared kung mag trabaho kas industry) with book allowances and a research grant amounting to 200k. I hope this helps. For more info, you can visit About ERDT.

Anyway, ana gyud na siya bro. Having topped the board exams does not necessarily equate to the quality of graduates that a university produces. UP Diliman deserves to be recognized kay top-notch gyud ang faculty (about 80% have PhD's and are very active in research).

In terms of kastay-han, way problema na. UP has dormitories for soon-to-be graduate students such as you!

If mu apply og consultancy related sa engineering design(structural) sa abroad, kaylangan jd ba ang masteral degree? Dili ra enough ang experience? Like kanang experience sa mga sikat na multi-national companies like Fluor Daniels.

Not necessary bai pero in my opinion you have an advantage if you have masters and it will give you opportunities to work in management roles. Pero ciguro kung contented na ta as structural designers no need magmasters labi na kung bigtime pod imong employer like Fluor Corporation. Ingun akong amigo nga ang naka advantage lang kung naa kay masters is dali ra kaau ka kabantay if sayop ang drawing ug maau imong engineering judgement.

Masters by coursework? Naa man cguro na bro pero dili nana funded siguro sa ERDT. Ang point man gud sa scholarship kay to strengthen research capability sa Philippines. So no, I don't think ila na i-fund pero I think naay by coursework lang ang UP.

Ngano diay ug naay research bro? still 2 years ang duration pero mas lingaw siya. Boring kaayo na ang 2 years of coursework oy. Mygad. hahaha

Imo kinahanglan is authorization to work by way of a Professional License sa location imo gi trabahoan. Whether Australia, US o Canada. And to get the Prof License, need ka educational background and exam if naa. Problema lang is e assess na sa country imo padulngan if ang imo course sa Pinas is equivalent ba sa educational requirement nila sa specific industry.

Case in point: Graduate and Board passer, ECE from USC. Trying to get Prof Engr License sa States for either electronics Engr of Communications Engr. Pag assessment sa iya TOR, equivalent siya sa 4 yr Bachelor Degree sa US for Electrical Engineering. So, dile match sa iya course. pwed xa mu apply for jobs sa Electrical na requiring Electrical Engr Educ. And pwed xa mu kuha Engineer in Training na position, which could lead up to Professional Engr license after 3 yrs experience sa Electrical Engr field.

Back sa topic sa TS, an assessment sa TOR ra mka sulti if ma recognized ba jud sa host country imo education sa Pinas. I doubt UP ra jud.
