Tips, second opinions on budget gaming rig

for a gaming rig, get the i5 "K" variant and a monster GPU then OC'ed both... an i5 is bang for the money compared to an i7 on a gaming rig...

personally, wala pa gani ko maka kita'g reason to upgrade on my heavily OC'ed i5-2550K and GTX 670 2-way SLI... karon, nag palit naman ko'g Witcher 3 (padung pa'g DL... on queue pa sya sa mga games na akoang napalit sa Steam)... sure ko, mo kamang ang GPUs nko once maxed out ang GFX setting aning Witcher 3 pero, pwede ra man ni i-adjust ba... i-off ang hair works. mao man ni ang taxing kaayo's GPU dba?. if naka off ni, nice ra man gihapon ang GFX sa game... hehehehe...

anyhow, kun dili mag video editing na mo gamit sa power sa i7, better suited gyud nato ang i5 (K variant para ma puga pa gyud ang performance through OC'ing) w/ a monster GPU... either single or dual configurations...


then on AMD's side, the FX-83xx series... if you'll want go the AMD's route... price wise & availability, no idea ko dha's Pinas ani...

collection ra ni nako. wla ma'y lami mag upgrade sa HW man gud... hhhaayyysss... complete ang Witcher series ug ang DLC as Witcher 3... hehehe... try ko aning mga RPG para dili lang ko mag sige'g duwa'g FPS. nag collect pud ko's mga RTS gaming titles... wla naman gud akoang mga karaan na mga CDs. gamay ra pud genuine ato nila kay sauna, nag lunop ang mga jack sparrow version... hehehe..

nag li2x ko ron sa Steam, naa napu'y 200 RMB cost na mga games ang akoang basket... almost 20K na gyud akoang na gasto ning mga games in 3 weeks time... more than 60 na ni sila siguro unit paliton ni nko ang last... 3+ hrs na lang man ang remaining sale time sa Steam... pwerteng dako-a baya aning saving nako... almost 3x sa akoang na gasto...



sa pag li2x, naka palit pa gyud ko ani... a bit oldy ni sila... but good for collection... except Ryse: Son of Rome na gi release sa PC last year, 2014 and MXGP na last year gi release...

nag basa2x ko, ang performance on the GTX 670 SLI on heavy GFX games @ 1080p is comparable to a single GTX 980... and this includes The Witcher 3 gaming performance @ maxed out GFX setting... haven't played the Witcher 3 yet kay layo pa sya'g queue sa mga games on DL... pwerte man lagi daghana's na purchase nko's Steam then hinay ang server usahay. dili mag maintain ug 4 ~ 5 MB/s ang DL speed kay tungod daghan ang nag access sa serve nila... usahay, mo drop ug less than 100 Kb/s or ubos pa gani... tsk tsk tsk... samot nang Origin. nag kamang ron ang mga servers kay pwerteng daghana gyud nag access (world wide)...

naka duwa na gyud intawon ang tigs sa Witcher 3 gabi-i. sa Cyber Monday last Dec '15 pa ni nko napalit then downloaded and installed dayon pero, wla'y time sa pag duwa... pero, gabi-i, after playing my sleeping pill (BF 4), ni try ko'g duwa then naka limot ko's oras hinoon... hhehehe...played the game from 11 pm (ting katulog nako unta) to 1:30 am... then mata ug 5 pm para prepare na for work... tsk tsk tsk...

ang fps sa GTX 670 SLI (@ 1080p) kay above 35 sya on fraps (recording) wla ko maka bantay ug dip below 35. if wla'y recording, fps monitoring lang on FRAPS, nag hover sya'g 38 ~ < 60 fps... with maxed-out GFX setting, hair works "ON", Vsync "ON", Ambient Occlusion @ "HBAO+"... so far, kumbate pa ni na GPUs... i'm still very contented on its performance on all the games that I've played @ 1080p... wait & see lang gyud ko sa mga upcoming gaming titles kun mag kamang2x ni sya once ma release na ang full "Stacked Memory" from both GPU players (AMD & Nvidia) then mo embrace pud ang mga games sa ani na technology... anyhow, I'll keep this pair for now. naa man sya nag perform sa domain sa GTX 970 & 980 pa as of now...

Congrats bro! kumbate pa gyud kaayo ang setup nmu karon on 1080p, so no need to upgrade pa gyud. your GPU can still kick! hehehe. .you were able to maintain at least 30+ FPS on this game with hairworks on. .

Try to turn OFF hairworks bro & lower down your folliage either to high or medium. .for sure ma reach na nmu ang 50+ FPS gain hehehe and have a smooth gameplay. .mao man gd ni sila nga settings ang kusog kaayo mo kaon og FPS. .

On my MSI GTX 970 @ 1080p, Ultra settings, folliage (high), HBAO+, it can maintain 60-70FPS with hair works OFF.
