honestly i don't see anything wrong about shifting or playing different genres (at the same time even) .. i can't even imagine myself playing or listening to just one type of music all throughout my life. that's just impossible. i love music too much to do that.
i think being purist "genre-wise" (or claiming to be one lol) is the most ridiculous thing.

try stuff. explore. evolve. that will help you become a better and broad-minded musician..

@keyser_soze - like balutman said they are punk influenced bro, texas scene...the 1 2 1 2 raw punk rock.
And also cedric bixler said they want to sound different. Experimental ba...so we never know. but clearly they more into punk than hxc or emo.
