    Main programming languages used:
    - PHP and other usual Web languages such as JavaScript and Stored Procedures (I'm not really sure if stored proc qualifies as programming though)
    - C, Unix platform
    - Visual C++, Windows platform

    Aside from those, there are other programming languages that we use in some components. I can't name them all, but these are some that I am directly aware of:
    - Bourne shell
    - Lua
    - Forth (not really used in production, but I experimented with this for a while in order to explore putting an ASCII art in the bootloader)

    Where I work, we don't develop software for the public, but internal use.

    C/C++ are used by devs.

    I play strictly with the network and various software used on the network and server backend currently using PHP/MySQL/Perl.

    We are currently transitioning all PHP/Perl code to Python.

    ... and of course bash.

    Software for the public is mostly developed with C/C++ and Delphi.
    VB is used for in house (because its SOOOO slow, and requires runtime...), and is official dead since 2003.

    IMO you are again exposing your weakness. if you are new in programming don't discriminate any PL because it's too easy for the seniors to measure your capability. perhaps you are too fresssshhhhh in programming to declare any PL as dead. analyzing your skill is like debugging a single line of code that won't take a fraction of a second.

    survey ni oi, dili ni contest unsay nindot nga programming language kay libog kaayo na. daghan kaayo factors i-consider unsay pinakanindot.

    for me dili na kinahanglan mag contest unsay pinakanindot nga development tools. ang maayo tan-awon ang quality sa finish product. Quality: speed, memory usage, user-friendly ba, nalipay ba ang user, maayo pagka design ang database (dili gubot pa sa lukot), ang program walay daghang bugs, sayon ra kung i-turn-over sa laing programmer (basin gubot pod kaayo pagka program), etc.
