gamay ra ug increase, dili worth it sa presyo.

ang importante ana if kamang naba gyud ang ivy ug sandy sa current applications. pero dili pa man. they perform well and costs less. but wait! if you order now, tag P7,000 NALANG ANG BNEW sa i7 3770 sa pc quickbuys. ok na kaayo ni para processor nimo.

Mems karon kay tag 1.5k to 2k ang 8GB mems.

Get a GTX 980ti, z77 board or any SLI capable board. Get a stable PSU (Superflower or Silverstone 750w pataas para naay future proof ug SLI with another GTX 980ti.)
SSD pud kanang 256GB minimum or 512GB if kaafford ka. tag 8k na karon ang 512GB.
    2TB, 3TB or 4TB for storage.

Kombate na kaayo dayon ni imong rig after.

Majustify nako magskylake chipset ka kung katong ssd nga M2 imong gamiton pero mahal pa dinhe unya walay availability. again bragging rights lang nga latest and greatest siya. kumbate gihapon ang current SSDs. dili pud ka ma-uwahi sa imong trabaho or games.

kana pud if mugamit ka ug thunderbolt, usb3 or 3.1 ug uban pa new features sa skylake. pero clockspeed ug performance ra basehan, 10-15% ra difference. dili kaayo na nimo ma-feel in real world performance.

Para nako upgrading chipsets is about features not clockspeeds only.
So you mean to say bro, let's say wala pa ka workstation jud. then karon paka mag build sa imo workstation mu choose ghapon ka sa previous generation na mga build?

by the way ang ako software of choice kay revit, zbrush, modo, nya planning to study unreal engine 4 kay free ra. hehe

if you have the juice then go for the new tech. ang ila tambag ra man na IF EVER kuwang ka sa budget or you want to invest on a component na mejo mahal2 like the GPU kay mao sad nay makatabang sa imo display pero sa apps na imo gi mention, u need a powerful CPU gyud. sa madaling salita, naa ra gyud na sa imo ang decision. otherwise, wala na lang ta ka nagpa tambag dri sa forums. Just my 1 cent.

mao lagi bro... For the gpu, mag gtx 970 ko then add lang ko Gpus in the future if naa na budget.

fellow revit user here. dili lang ko kahibao anang zbrush ug modo.

revit, 3dsmax ug octane render for me. no vray.

if I were to BUDGET for all BRAND NEW parts:

    proc: i7 3770 P 7k
    mobo: Z77 SLI P 5-6k
    mem: 4x8gb mem (total 32gb) P 8k
    PSU: 850w branded P 6k
    SSD: 240gb P 5k
    Storage: 2 TB P 4k
    GPU: GTX 980 ti P 30k
    Casing: Branded P 3-5k
    Total CPU: P 68k

    Extra:
    Monitor: 2 pcs ASUS IPS P 15k
    or
ultrawide nga 29" or 34" (unfortunately, wala pa kaayo available dinhe... hahaha)

Not meaning to thread crap, but would you happen to know where I can find a Z77 mobo like the one you mentioned? I've been looking for one for my 3770 as I'm running out of SATA ports on my crappy H61 mobo and kinda want the ability to add a 2nd GPU in along with being able to use the limited unlock capability of my CPU.
