naa sad mga nindot na fraternities dha... pero wat happens lang kay maguba ang ila image as fratmen because of other groups na mucause ug gubot...

again, i dont hate fraternities and I am not a member of one... I have a lot of friends na members ug fraternities, even from AKRHO and TAU GAMMA... I just feel sorry lang sa mga tao na ma caught up in between sa mga frat wars...

wats wrong if solohaon sa lions ug rotary ang mga activities sa community....
they dont have bad records and besides that these groups are profesional groups, not like sa mga fraternities na samok2 lng sa community.

Maglisod man gani ang presidente nimo sa PILIPINAS sulbad sa problema ug hatag ug gamayng kalipay sa community , how much more relying on those prestigeous orgs like the LIONS and ROTARY . You just didnt get my drift did ya ?

By the way , if you get the chance to look up the definition of FRATERNITY and SORORITY , post it here in regards to your comment about FRATS not so propesyonali .

I know we are going back to the issue of some members are criminals , lost track , etc but again .... the frat has nothing to do with it but show them whats right and wrong . Did you even think a little bit that whats going on in Cebu right between AKP n TGP is being coached and directed by the higher heirarchies ? Nope it is not !!

A lot of measures . Some are successful and some are failing measures . Lets go figure in numbers , basing on the successfull measures , you only hear news of a couple of dead or injured people in a week rather than 10 TGP members dead every night .

i agree with you sir lolong tan. good thing there's an istoryan here who got the point. 'ey goose, if u wish to have us explain our side... or for the whole matter that is... try to consider brod springfield's request, id be happy to pay for your trans, so long as we talk bout this matter formaly. like we've always said, the fraternity has nothing to do with whats happening, but rather, the members who have gone astray.

i love my fraternity even amidst this state. i for one is not for violence. i am for my fraternity. id be happy if youd look upon this matter. then we shall have better things to talk about and have matters being studied for further actions to be inacted.

the fraternity is not the problem..its the members..both of these fraternities started out as good, responsible and composed of members wjust watn to meet other people and form a brotherhood. Respectable people are in these fraternities too..But as the years went by..Screening of potential brothers has, how should I say this? none existenent? These caused the the entry of people with bad intentions and "stambay" to join. These people haveing tinking they are superior just sickens me..

My apologies to you guys for being distinct from your points of views. I'm really overwhelmed with the support and loyalty that you devote for your respective fraternities. But there are some things that I would want to point out for all fraternities in general.

I believe that the fraternity itself is responsible for its members upbringing. They too are responsible for their members actions towards violence against their adversary. Thus there are two factors which I believe, fraternities lack nowadays.

"Control" - Due to the increasing number of members, fraternities loose track of their affiliates. Some had even tried to create a local chapter of their own being not recognized by the fraternity itself.

"Guidance" - Some fraternities are merely established just for the sake of having a group. They do not have principles which leads their members unguided. A decent leader should guide the group. A leader of humility, well being, honesty and Godly.

And one factor that cannot be crossed out unto one's mentality:

"Rivalry" - They forsee other groups as competition. This has always been a part of every human beings mentality. It's good to compete but not to the extent of provoking harm against the other.

Yes we do lose track because of the big numbers and still growing members but it is not a hindrance for the AKP frat is not and exclusive fraternity of some sort . Though we only recognized chapters and members that are registered by the council , it is part of our duty to extinguish such " kolorums " out of the scene .

That I cannot speak for AKP's side because we are totally the opposite of the message though some members are but not the fraternities goals and principles an so as to the rest of the fraternities that existed in the Philippine colleges and communities .
