Ang gi post ni Digital Superman are by no means Davide's achievements. They are projects that were approved, planned or started while he was governor. And it does not mean he had anything to do with them. Just saying!

actually they are. the bureaucracy in our government system make sure it does. the funds that i have posted for the infra projects directed to cebu province starts and ends with the governor and provincial board. heck they can even stop it if they want to. that is how LGU's work. national government does not have absolute power, well at least not 100%. you can read our constitution para ma familiarize ka ana.

also, these projects are initiated by the governor. in fact, naay uban projects nga wala pa gyud na allocate kay syempre ngita pag funds.

im quite glad to know trans-axial road imagined by sanchez, is still on the mind of davide.

this is one reason why the governor talks to business entities to fund projects under the PPP agreement. it only only shows that this projects are initiated by the governor and then national government can assist it with whatever capacity they have.

about aning CICC i think davide is correct in not allocating funds to repair it. repairing it would cost millions and for what purpose. i think the funds can be channeled to other public services. maybe the province can lease the building and lot to a private entity in that way the province can profit from it. during the time the CICC was operational, it was all loses. province never profited from it. province was just spending too much on it.

i think we can all agree that we all want whats best for cebu province.

sa akong side gikapoy nako aning mga political clans sa cebu that is why i am in favor of davide. and so far sa akoa nga standards he is okay and he deserves another second term.

i am not forcing anyone to vote for davide. i am not defending him. i just wanted to be fair for him. lisud au if mag once sided lang pud ta gud. lisud au if nahan lang ta makakita kung unsay atong gusto makit-an. it will only show what kind of person you are kung kanunay kang one sided. i am just stating on my own behalf why i am voting for him. i also respect other's choices. if they want winston then so be it. but at least we can be fair to the other side.

i can't blame people not trusting the garcia's. they're reputation precedes them. i also acknowledge that to each is his own which means dili pasabot garcia siya kay pareho nalang sa uban nga garcia's in previous admin.

but our culture as pinoys, blood is always thicker than water. whether we like it or not, they always lookout for one another where no rational thinking and morals defined.

i just want the people behind the effing lamp post, cicc and balili be punished.

I agre that there several projects that have been approved, started or being planned during the term of Davide and no matter what, since Davide is governor, some of the credit must go to him. But if you look at most of these projects you will see that Davide played little or no role in their approval. He will say he endorsed them or facilitaeted release of funds or he hopes they will be realized or he will study or he will create a committee. He he has not taken the bull my the horns and said hey Cebuanos, this is my vision for Cebu, lets all work together to achieve this. The reality is that while some things are getting done, they would have gotten done with or without Davide there. They would have gotten done just with the corresponding government agency and the foreign or national funding source. And I have not heard of Davide getting any funding for any huge project on his own merit. Yolanda funds don't count. They would have come in no matter who was governor.

In other words, I am asking myself these questions. What has Davide done as governor of Cebu that has made a difference? Okay so there is still plenty of economic activity in Cebu. But how much of that can Davide say is there because he is the governor? And how much of that would have happened no matter who was governor?

I would like a governor like Lito O who captured the imagination of the Cebuanos and made us dream, made us proud to be Cebuanos. Sadly for me, junjun Davide is not that man. I would have supported Lito O if he had pushed thru with running for governor but he gave way for Winston. So I am supporting Winston instead. That's just me.

You know, as I said previously, I am not by any means a diehard, blindly pro Garcia fangirl. So I am perfectly fine with that billboard being there and they may even add more for all I care. My only point is this. Even if the CICC was a huge mistake (and that is still debatable), the fact is it is already there. Whether or not it was overpriced, it already exists and has some inherent value. Naa naman kahay kwarta nga na usik kay overpriced man kaha, ngano usikon naman lang jud tanan kay dili gamiton? Ok ra pud kung ibaligya ni Davide sa Mandue kay at least ma puslan. To me, if left there to rot, it will be as much a legacy of waste of Junjun Davide as of Gwen kay wala niya gamita.

Para nako, Junjun has to do something with the CICC. Anything as long as dili niya pasagdan. Here's why. Kung iyang pasagdan like now, it will just go to waste and people can say nga gi usikusikan nga kwarta ni Gwen, gi tiwasan ni Junjun. So it is negative for him. But that's not the worst that can happened. I know that many won't like this but there is always the possiblity that Gwen will be found innocent of all charges against her. What then? Mura na ug buang si Junjun ana. Maayo pa ug iyang ipa repair ang CICC them gamiton to earn. Then he can say he turned Gwen's mistake into something positive. Or he can sell it. Then he can say that at least he recovered some of the money that Gwen wasted and someone else can make use of the CICC.

The kind of politics we have now is inutile. Everytime there is a change of administration, all initiatives, good or bad, of the previous administration are stopped and changed. Sugod na pud sa uno. Hahay...unsaon nato ug asenso ani?

siguro ang problema gud ani mam kay we have questions yet we don't look for answers.information nowadays dali ra kaayo ma recover yet we don't look for it.mag agad patag lain tawo nga muhungit.

first, there was never a plan not to repair it. its just that davide doesn't want to use province funds for it. he has good reason not to. you can see it here.

i am not being sarcastic or anything. its just that you may know something that i don't. i am just interested.i don't want to insinuate anything that my question is rhetorical or sarcastic in any form.

No offense taken. Your posts are very sensible and in fact you have also opened my eyes somewhat that Davide may not be as inutile as I thought he was. But here's the thing. In my humble opinion, the governor should focus on a masterplan for the province that would address all existing and potential problems and issues rather than look at things piecemeal. Take for example the planned transaxial road that is planned. I am not saying it is bad. It is in fact good. But it has got to be part of a masterplan that will address all the other issues related to it such as traffic and the need for efficient mass transport. And the list goes on. Projects that may be good by itself but are not part of any masterplan of any efforts to synergize the whole province. The various govt agencies such as the DPWH, DSWD, DILG, Dep Ed, etc, all have their budgets as well as their projects throughout the country, including Cebu. So naa jud mga projects nga ma implement. My expectation for Davide or whoever is governor, is for him to rally the people of Cebu around a vision, or a masterplan, that will unite us and make us dream again.

Davide may be a good person, but maybe he is too good that imperial Manila can easily push him around. I am actually scandalized that the P14 billion proceeds from our airport privitization is all going to the national coffers. Davide is co-chair of the MCIAA and he just allowed that without even a whimper? Come'on, he should have at least fought for part of it to be allocated for Cebu. The way he handled the LP slates here is also indicative of his having no backbone. He abandoned original, local partymates who supported him thru thick and thin. Yes, that is politics. But he did even try to show that he put up a fight for them and he was overruled from above. Hahay!
