Whatever happened to this news? Isn't this alarming?
One of the venues happened in a church parking lot in Mabolo Carmelites which everyone thought was a safe place. It was a 10-minute crime that "no one heard nor even seen" since there was no police near that area thinking that it was a Sunday. No cctvs in the church, some of the establishments would only place cctv in their areas only.
There was a super tinted Black Mitsubishi 2006 model beside that Toyota fortuner. What was alarming was that they only used a "trapo or cloth" and smash the windshield with just one hit of a hard object and got hold of all the valuables in the car. No car alarms and Toyota cannot even explain why their alarms aren't working according to the police report in mabolo.
It's been a week and so but still our police officers can't figure out and don't even have a clue as to who are the mere suspects, they remained unidentified.
Lesson learned: Cebu is not a safe place anymore. Criminals have become wiser and our security is sadly, very weak. We cannot entrust ourselves fully with the police so let's be alert always because in all places these crimes can happen to anyone and anywhwere.
Let us be wiser in choosing our candidates for they should be our no. 1 hope in leading the security of our city.
