This deviates the first rule of questioning...NEVER answer a question with another question!

My strategy in interviews has always been to never be the first to give a number when it comes to salary.

If ako gipangutana ana then early pa sa interview, I would deflect the topic and say that "I would like to know more about the job before I could make an assessment on what the salary would be".

Or I would say, " I have a number in mind. But I would rather not say at this time.."

Or I could also say " What is the range of salary that this position holds? "

Deflect the answer. Never be the first to give an answer.

Nakasuway ko nga ako gbinuangan ang interviewer. Ako xa g.ingnan nga "pwede 1m/day"? Hahaha. Nikatawa ra pud xa. Pero, kidding aside, I think the best way to answer this question is to evaluate yourself f pila jud imong charge sa imong employer

Ang response sa company is depende sab gyud sa ilang need/urgency to fill their vacant spot. I was also ask how much salary i expected. At that time, judging the company's ambience i'm not in the mood of joining them , so i say exactly double of what im currently earning. Tubag sa interviewer, way out of their plantilla, so i left, but the following day they call me and offered 80% of the figure i demanded. I replied on the phone. Ohh well, bring it on. 30 days later i was with them and lasted for a year and a half before departing. Those interviewers can really sensed your confidence. Morag gaan sab kaayo kang dawaton if at ease ra ka sa ilaha. Unproductive kaayo if you are tensed.
