Nagkatawa ko sa question og sa argument nga gi present, its like asking why are students not allowed to bring guns or juz even knives to protect themselves since they are prone to being mugged.

    ako: ngano man?
    bata: dako man
    ako unsa diay nindot?

The keyword for the answer actually lies in between the question - COMMERCIAL. Before actual scientific and technical explanations comes the simple logic behind it. Missiles are used for MILITARY purposes. Airliners are used for COMMERCIAL purposes. So as commercial aircraft, airliners are built and set up for revenue flying. Same thing as why buses don't have armor plates and ballistic glass windows. Aircraft that are equipped with missile countermeasures are those used for military purposes. Not necessarily limited to fighters since some cargo and utility aircraft are also equipped with countermeasures against missiles.

Lightbulb greater protection and fairer compensation whenever accidents occur during flights ;)

di na ta mahadlok kun bisan pa walay missile ang mga commercial planes kay patas-an na ang insurance o bayad kun ugaling ma-crash (so happy ang nahibilin nga pamilya o pariente ... aheheh Lol )

ug dako2x na sab daw ibayad kun mawa inyo o atung gamit like damages

It goes the same for the question, "why cant airlines equip parachute for each passenger?" Syempre ang gasto. And IMO, during accidents swift death means no pain and NO EMOTIONS experienced by passengers.

"...Unless we assume the world is at war constantly and all that airspace is a threat, it just doesn't make sense for the commercial world. They release decoys meant to distract the missile, it's not always successful. And the crew still needs to maneuver the craft away from the missile."

"There is an exception: The Israeli commercial airline El Al, which rolled out anti-ballistic technology starting in 2004 and has continued to deploy new tests and systems."
