it would be best that we'll manage well our income... dili ta pataka'g gasto labi na ning mga unplanned then ang hard money nato, ad2 ra padulong sa mga "negative" assests... kaubo gyud ta ani...

if naa'y extra, nice mag invest sa stock market... pero, pag research ug maayo. ayaw patakag hamag kay mayayay unya. safe ni na investment basta dili pang daily sustenance ang gamiton for investment. nice kaayo ni'ng stock investment sa mga bata pag edad kay taas ang time nila to gain or maka bawi kun mag bear ang market. anyhow, dili man ni lumba ang stock market investment. hehehe...

kun pwede pa maka invest kay naa pay extra income, invest in real properties labi na lot kay mo appreciate man ang value ani nya...

and better still, get a life insurance and memorial plan... para ni sa atoa ug sa atoang family...

dili man gyud ni malikayan na padulong ta'g ka hinog... then sa pagka lata so, let's enjoy now and plan ahead so that we can enjoy tomorrow as well as our family... ehehehe...

personally, kay middle aged naman ko or in other words, i'm about to become 1 yr old... life begins at 40 man kuno... ahahaha... so far, mao ni akoang check list. puro ni sila kita sa akoang pag paninguha ug sa grasya na gihatag sa tua's Taas... dili man ko anak ug adunahan na naa'y ma hand-down... hehehe... anyhow, these are the fruits of my labor...

    > positive assets (real estate properties): residential lots (check); condo (check); single detached house, row house or duplex (N/A for now. maybe later. mag patukod ra ko unya puhon); memorial lots (check)
    > negative assets... cars (check) and other house hold and personal electronics (check)
    > savings (check)
    > life insurance (check)
    > memorial plan (check)
    > passive investments... mutual funds (check), stock market (check), cooperative (check), crypto currency/ Bitcoin (check)

and best of all, got no "negative debt"... hehehehe... my debts are all "positive debt" like the condo and the 2nd (208 sqm - @ Mountain Plains in Danao) and 3rd (200 sqm - @ Monte de Piedra in Consolacion) residential lots. Had paid in full the 1st residential lot (200 sqm @ Peninsula Place in Sugtungan, Mactan)...

Totally agree...I recall during the days of 2008 financial crisis, i was on a panic mode b'coz my 401k took a big hit. I then gathered my thoughts and realized this maybe an opportunity for bargain hunting. To cut the story short i bought 200 shares of AIG price at $ 2.70 when the New York index lost 400 points. 5 years later i sold my AIG shares for 50.16........BIG BIG SMILE!!
