tsk-tsk
its sad that just for being realistic.,we give up logic.
its not hard to spell respect, we know that. but we have to earn it.
it may sound funny for the Americans but we deal w/ it as Filipinos.
we are sensitive about it because we know that it was OUR failure as a PEOPLE.
Tommy Hilfiger is just one name. FILIPINOS mean one nation.
whoever makes fun of Imelda Marcos does not deal w/ the whole nation.
look into the damage...
most americans are racists....
tanaw nila sa ila mga kaugalilngon superior...
dont hate teri. im not a fan but shes just a puppet. she just reads and acts out whats in the script. i go for banning the whole show and the script writer.
What about Miriam saying that Corruption originated from China?
Miriam = Desperate Housewife

Why are we over reacting that much? hehe. The truth hurts ba? or feeling guilty lang ta? Do you know that it is easy to buy a diploma in Recto Manila? Just pay 1,500 pesos and you will get a diploma from any medical school that you graduated from Nursing or doctor or something like that. E add pa to nga leakage nahh. We make jokes gani katong "miss teen usa who cannot find america in the map"? Plus pa ni nga ila president. Well that's life.
asagaran man gani sa mga pinoy mubo kaayo og pag tanaw sa mga blacks.Originally Posted by dark_phoenix

[color=navy]Personally, I find it a piece of irresponsible creative writing. Sure, it may seem humorous to some but it's no guarantee that everyone will find it funny.
I am not surprised that Filipinos and the Fil-Am communities in the United States are taking that punchline in a negative way to heart. Speaking from personal knowledge and experience, a lot of them knows what it is like to be made the butt of many racial jokes in their day-to-day environment but most can't fight back~ this is inevitable, it comes to a point when it's too much... particularly coming from a popular character of a popular primetime nationwide TV show.
Sad to say, this protest may serve in the show's benefit. I find a joke on the expense of someone else's dignity is a prank, a cheap shot and it is intentional. I am not surprised to find out if the director and producers to go through with the line. With the present low ratings of Desperate Housewives, some controversy would help put the show in the spotlight.
