99% risk free franchises?

I have 1 question about franchising, if you have say 25M to franchise a jolibee outlet, don't you have enough brains to start your own venture with that massive amount? I'm sure you didn't get there without thinking unless of course nakada-ug ka ug lotto or drug lord ka?

Same goes with other smaller brands. Why pay for someone else's name (as if unsa kadako sama anang mga food stalls ba ron) when you can make your own brand and sell the same product (at the very least)?

Sorry for the skepticism, but as an entrepreneur, I just don't get giving someone else my hard earned money for something I can probably just do myself if not better so long as I put the time to learn the trade.

At least if you do it yourself, you can say at the end, "buanga sayop akong paminsar ug strategy ato dah. sunod dili nako usab...."... If you buy a franchise, what will you say at the end? "buanga, sayop man to ang feasibility study sa jolibee. bati diay to ilang idea dah". You learn more from the mistakes you make rather than the mistakes that you tried to ride on and that from an entrepreneur's point if view is a lot more worth it than an Ateneo MBA on paper.

Yeah sakto sad ka. Well, personal choice na na if ang goal nimo kay ganahan ka na imong strategy imong i-follow, dili sa uban. Pero my point stands na people get Jollibee franchises because of risk/reward and perceived better profitability compared to their own ideas.

On the other side of the coin, naa say ubang tawo na mas mosalig sa Jollibee model (sa ako example) compared to their own business ideas. Pero if naa kay nindot na business idea na you think better than Jollibee mas ok siguro didto imong kwarta isulod.

A friend of mine owned the former lotto outlets (2 of them) in emall for like 4 years. Knanag naa sa ground floor do-ol sa BDO/escalator.

You get 10% of all earnings gross. Minusan pa na sa tax ha. Then naa sad kay igo kung madag-an (i think).

Guess what? nanira na tawn ang iyang 2 ka lotto outlets sa emall ug nagtrabaho nalang siya sa citi hall karon unya utangan pa tawn siya sa iyang franchise ba to or something.

Marketing (especially for known brands) is one of the things that you get when you franchise. And important man kaayo ang marketing para mabaligya imo product.
