Provided na you know your device's power limitations.

Wala ko kahibalo na ang maximum current na we can draw from the USB ports diay (all 4 combined) is limited to 600mA max. So, akong gisaksak, without checking the hard drive's current spec; I did not even checked my wifi adapter's current spec. So unsai nahitabo? So reverse engineering dayon. Then found out na ang hard drive diay na akong gisaksak kay nag need at least 1.5A for read/write.

thanks for the tip bro that 600mA is the max current that can be drawn from all 4 USB ports...

I want to share also that 700mA is quite too high for rpi2 without any peripherals.

i'm using a 10000mAH powerbank as the powersource for my rpi2.

It can operate for more than 20 hours (connected via ethernet cable) and i'm accessing via SSH, downloading torrent just to the SD card, serving a wiki page, running some scripts, etc.

    20 hours X 700mA = 14000mAH

meaning bro, ni-exceed cya sa capacity sa ak0 powerbank...theref0re I believe bro rpi2 in its base form without peripherals operate within 300-400mA only 700mA is the max current that it can draw from power source I believe. ma0 gi state na sa manufacturer to have at least 700mA or good minimum of 1A power supply in order to protect the device also and prevent it from not functioning well.

haha... correct ka sa "~700mA" na ako namention bai... basin ma-misunderstood sa uban; I'm referring to peak current (naa to cya display - not really without peripheral). Dili to cya average current drawn over time. Ang formula nga imo gi-state above (thumbs up) makahatag lang nimo ug idea how much was your average current drawn over a period of time; but not the peak current or maximum sustained current na gi-draw sa imo device for a specific period of time / process.
