This is the right GUI for Tenda W311R:

Micro Center Tech Support Online - How to Set up a Tenda W311R Wireless-N Broadband Router with no CD.

    APPLY first, then SAVE.

i've done this before. Still the same.
if i switch off the router for around 5 - 10 mins the settings not changed but if i turn it off tonight then switch it back on the next day it will then go back to its initial state, default settings.

By the way the modem used is also a router modem. should i configure it too? how?

If you're getting Internet connection from the Tenda router via the modem, then you don't need to mess with the modem.

    Answer these questions:

    1. How old is that Tenda router?
    2. Are you using the original power adapter?
    3. Does your house/apartment/building experiences voltage fluctuations.
    4. Which web browser are you using to configure the router?
    5. Do you know how to do the "30-30-30" reset?
