Thread: Laptop brands.

  1. #51

    Mao ni akong masulti TS:

    5 - Acer
Barato pero igu ra ni-comply sa standards so dili gyud sila durable.

    9 - Asus
Bang for the back ilang focus ron. Lesser price, but dili mu-compromise on performance. Durable ni sila.

    10 - Lenovo
Either the legendary business Thinkpad or the consumer Ideapad, dili ka magmahay. 2 nah akong laptop nga lenovo, until now reliable gihapon. Looks brand new gihapon.

    1 - Dell
COPYCAT!! Mahal makapresyo! Makakita kag same-spec sa other brands nga lesser price. AVOID THIS BRAND!

    8 - HP
Living legend but dili nah sila ang nag-reign karon. Nindot ni sila muhimo ug laptop.

    5 - Toshiba
My first laptop was a toshiba. Terrible kaayu ilang design sa akong taste. Mahal makapresyu, then adequate durability

    0 - Sony
Patay nah ni, wala nah silay laptop kay gabuwag nah sila sa VAIO. Grabe ni sila makapresyo murag unsa'y naa sa ilang laptops.

btw, naa ko sa environment nga daghan ug laptops(University ug IT workplace) and daghan stories about laptop tragedies. Didto ko nanguha ug insights sa akong gipangsulti.

IBM isn't part of Lenovo for a very long time now. Ang business strategy sa IBM is to create a NEW technology sa market and monopolize it, but once musikat nah and daghan nah competitors, they stop it nah dayun. They usually sell their division that continues the technology then lets it go completely. Mao ni nahitabo sa ThinkPad.

Recently naa'y gi-commit nga cardinal sin ang Lenovo sa ThinkPad, ang pagkuha sa 3-button nga kauban sa TrackPoint. Kanang mga ThinkPad nga "40" ang last 2 digit sa model like for ex. X240, T440, S440 etc. May gali gibalik nila sa "50" nga product line tungod sa complain sa ThinkPad fans.

I think you're hating Dell so much, saying "AVOID THIS BRAND", means encouraging users not to buy Dell computers., instead you can say "choose another brand which is affordable which gives you the same specs" instead of saying avoid this brand.

Dell is one of the best computer brand I know, they are definitely reliable based on my experience. Most of our computers here at work production are "HP" and "DELL" and they are running 24/7, mostly ang kasagaran nangaguba og una namo nga PC's kay ang "HP", which I could say that "Dell" is better than "HP" based on my experience. Even ang keyboards and mouse namu dri kay Dell and HP, maihap rang guba sa Dell, but ang naglaray puro HP.

Dell might be an expensive computer to get, but it's not a right thing to say to "AVOID THIS BRAND". Especially you're a Dell fan and you own one of their Laptops and it's proven that it's durable. So you'd be able to think why not get another Dell laptop? and someone is saying "avoid this brand", that hurts so much. Dell is not just targetted to consumers but they're also providing computers for businesses.

oi unsay sala ni Dell nimo? hahaha
highly recommended man cya nga brand based sa research pd nako.
bug.at baya nga investmnt ang mg upgrade ug laptop so lisud jd nga largo lng palit without knowing the specs.
i end up buying Inspiron 14 7447 jst recently lng. so far ok rman cya.

if i were to pick my top 3 sa lista, it would be ASUS, HP & Dell. chapwera nako ang Acer labi na ang Sony VAIO given the state nga they're in karon.

    @wylliexhan:

they copy laptop designs from lenovo
they copy website design from HP
they copy EVERYTHING from other brands
    so wala koy respect nila

i agree with xy... we are also using dell hardware for our servers but when it comes to dell laptop, i will not recommend it. With same price range, you can find other brands which has better performance, durability and design etc.

    7. Acer
    6. Samsung

MY top 5 laptop brands are:

    5. HP - units are still alive for more than 5 years except the batteries
    - elegant design
    - nice altec sound
    - compact internal hardware design

    4. Toshiba - some of our new laptops are from toshiba and i like the build and design
    - performance so far so good

    3. Lenovo - Most of our laptops are lenovo and HPs - lenovo is durable also - units already more than 7 yrs
    - thinkpads - classic design but classy features (finger print particularly)
    - i have personal Lenovo Ideapad - love the looks but not so with the performance

    2. ASUS - base on reviews only - and i think i love ASUS too.
    - performance ok
    - durability ok
    - design - i really like it

    1. MSI - it's number one for me because i envy MSI laptops!
    - performance, durability, looks and gaming experience - hanggang tingin nlng ako...hahaha

but the question is, the TS is asking for advice as to which brand is better? ang question man niya is kung mo palit cya. too subjective ra yata imong post but because we are in this democratic state of aquino, then cge nalang.

my experience of laptops before mao ni akong assessment:

1st laptop - Compaq Presario (now i think is HP nah) : display unang nagka problema, gi ukab sa tech from HP, after a month, ang keyboard nxad ang ni palyar.

2nd, 3rd & 4th laptop - Dell, ang 2nd kay ang akong gigamit, ang 3rd ug 4th kay gamit sa akong ate and her friend. kami tulo kay wala gyud nagka problema as to performance, though after almost 2 years unang ni surrender sa amo-a ang battery, pero the rest, payter pa gihapon...

If ni-back read lang ka, I already answered the TS' question but somebody commented on it and then I just commented back.
Subjective? Lenovo's laptop designs 2 years ago is Dell's laptop design today. And bisitaha rah gud ang website sa HP and Dell kung dili ba pareha.
