    DISCLAIMER: I am not completely acne-free, but I no longer have painful, cystic acne that used to annoying as hell.

    . Avoid stress. Sleep early. I find that the lesser sleep I have, the more irritable I am as a person, and the more / bigger acne I have.

    . Avoid acne triggers (for me: dairy, nuts). Some people / articles will tell you that that there are no such thing as food triggers, but it's REAL. I have tried eliminating them from my diet, then adding the triggers back and they always give me acne.

    . Avoid sugars and junk food like the plague. If you can, ditch the soda and other sweet stuff. Not only they are bad for your health, they are also triggers for acne.

    . Drink water, and LOTS OF IT!
