To make it clearer, know that there are no commas in the original Greek Bible of the NT. And so it could be written this way:
1Ti 3:15 but if I am delayed, I write so that you may know how you ought to conduct yourself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God the pillar and ground of the truth.
The God of the Church is the pillar and foundation of the truth. And the God of the Church has spoken through the Scriptures. All Scripture came from the mouth of God<----- the pillar and foundation of the truth.
2Ti 3:16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,
common sense nalang gud ta bro.. kinsa man diay tagiya sa church? dili ba ang living God? imo paman jud lisuron oi..heheOriginally Posted by Ironside

dili nalang nato i complicate nga ang Church moy pillar and foundation of the truth. Ang Ginoo may kahay tag-iya diba. Niya ang owner has spoken sa Bible. So the Bible is the basis of faith sa Church. The Bible which is the Word of the owner of the Church.
And to tell you this, the bible is written because of the Church or for the Church.Originally Posted by Ironside

However, we must remember this principle:
While all the Bible was written FOR the Church, it was not all written TO the Church, nor was it all written ABOUT the Church.
The OT Scriptures already existed long before the Lord Jesus said: ".............I WILL build My Church..."
Leviticus, Jeremiah, Isaish etc. for example was primarily written to the nation Israel.
Example:
No orthodox Christian church member today would dare to bring an animal sacrifice. He is fully aware that the things in Leviticus was primarily written to the nation Israel.
It does not mean however that those things are unprofitable and useless to the Church. The Church benefits from it by way of principles that can be gleaned from it since ALL [and that includes Leviticus] Scriptures are profitable [2 Tim. 3:16].
