Iglesia ni Cristo crowd blocks portion of road despite lack of permit

MANILA, Philippines – Members of powerful homegrown church Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) gathered in an apparent street demonstration in front of Robinsons Galleria on Friday night, August 28, despite the lack of a permit to rally in the area.

The crowd blocked the northbound service road in front of Robinsons, forcing motorists to use the EDSA-Ortigas northbound flyover.

The shopping center is within the territory of Quezon City, whose chief executive had not granted any rally permit to INC.

ABS-CBN cameraman assaulted at Iglesia ni Cristo EDSA protest – report | News | GMA News Online

Unidentified assailants reportedly mauled ABS-CBN cameraman Melchor Pinlac while he was filming the Iglesia ni Cristo protest at the EDSA Shrine.

Pinlac said that he was grabbed by the neck, then he was punched on the jaw, the body, and the back of the neck, according to a dzMM radio report. All the while, the crowd around him was chanting “biased, biased.”

According to Super Radyo dzBB, their reporter Olan Bola was shoved around during the encounter while trying to appease protesters. Bola was not injured. — GMA News

i was in manila yesterday, traffic was hell in coz it was a friday and sweldo day, plus these INC people are blocking the way in the DOJ area and they even planned to march to EDSA daw.

these guys don't know what 'separation of state' means, dili mang hilabot ang gobyernon sa simbahaan if it does not involve any violation of the state law, pero naa naman gud kidnapping, crime and case that was filed.
unsa man ni cla, dili kahibaw mo hunahuna?


trivia, did you now that in most college or highschool institution kay if incomplete ka ug requirements or wala ka pasar kay ang abbreviation kay INC? well there is a cult in PH who has the same abbreviation.

These people think their church is above the state. Of course DOJ will investigate kay naa may nagfile ug complaint. And these INC people nagprotesta to stop the investigation.

I just hope the DOJ and the government shows political will. Hope they dont bow down to these cult members.
