This is not the worst post from a Filipino against a whole country. There are lots of Filipinos out there who can dish out the most racist, sick-minded comments on the internet against an entire race or country which I'm embarrassed to read. A Filipino who, for some reason, idolized Hitler and the Nazis once commented about wishing to erase the Jewish race off the face of the earth, because according to him the Jews were Christ-killers. We seem to be a medieval society rudely making our way in a modern world and expecting the rest of the world to adjust to our world view.

I guess could not handle peer pressure, poor guy, he should go with the process and let the process work for him. He should not do such a stupid move, it's really detrimental for himself and for others as well. He was accepted in Singapore to do a task and to contribute and he should focus on that.

Charge sheets said Ello's remarks have "the tendency to promote feelings of ill-will and hostility between different classes of the population of Singapore, namely, between Singaporeans and Filipinos in Singapore".

In the first Facebook post on January 2, he wrote: "Singaporeans are loosers (sic) in their own country, we take their jobs, their future, their women and soon we will evict all SG loosers (sic)out of their own country hahaha."

He ended the post by saying "Remember Pinoy (Filipinos) better and stronger than Stinkaporeans."

In a subsequent comment on the same day, Ello said "we will kick out all the Singaporeans and SG will be the new filipino state."

He had told police officers that he was not responsible for the offending posts, and that his Facebook account had been hacked.

Under the Sedition Act, among other things, it is an offence to promote hostility between different races or classes in multiracial Singapore, which is mainly ethnic Chinese.

In a statement after Ello was charged in court, the Singapore Police Force said it "takes a stern view of acts that could threaten social harmony in Singapore."

"Any person who posts remarks online that could cause ill-will and hostility between the different races or communities in Singapore will be firmly dealt with in accordance with the law," it said.

He is in trouble and the authorities are absolutely right about the crucial nature of such a deed,
I hope he could clear his name.

If his facebook account was hacked as his defense, then he should try to mend things up, apologize and inform everyone what transpired at the exact moment.

his behavior is totally unacceptable. it's like being invited to a party in a neighboor's house and you critized and insulted your host while eating your dinner. this should be a lesson to all OFWs that when they're in other countries, they're just second class citizens there. they shouldn't act as if they're locals.
