Dark_phoenix, when will the finals start? who's the winner between usjr and uv? I am a carolinian myself graduated from tc and even trained with the warriors but never went through with the varsity thing coz mas lingaw duwaan ang intrams.

This time its worth watching coz the last time we had a championship game was with reyes pa kadto coach before ni roland remedio.

Can you please post the time and schedule for the warriors game or pm me if its ok... thanks in advance.

Actually, the New Basktball program of Fr. Vic Uy is now reaping its fruits. I was once a Warrior and will always be a Warrior!
I just would like to clarify some points in the earlier page of this threads that, in fairness, during the time of Coach Roland Remedio, there was no program at all, and no clear direction or path for the basketball team. That is why when it was established, Coach Jay Ramirez took over the College team so that Coach Roland can concentrate on the Juniors team, wherein he usually excels and collects trophies. With the program, the players got to enjoy lots of perks and even allowances. And the program is still continued until now plus with the addition of Coach Mike, brod of Chot Reyes, helps a lot. Im very proud of the Warriors' achievement now!

Since the basketball team of USC has already proven it's worth, then I think it's time for USC to focus and start building a team for other sports. It's a lot better for USC to have different athletic programs because it's one of the bigger universities here in Cebu, both in college and high school. Daghan kaayo ug potential athletes ang USC in different sports.

I agree with you Yokam, its just that they cannot replicate it directly in all sports. But slowly, they are implementing it, like Tennis, swimming and other sports. Basketball is just the pilot sport. High school athletes even are now offered with scholarships, which is quite impressive. Fr. Uy is indeed very supportive to the athletes. He has done remarkable achievement in the field of sports for USC. His vision is to make USC at par with La Salle and Ateneo, a school that excels both in sports and academics.
