To say that Bongbong Marcos is much better than his contemporary politicians begs justification. What has he done outside his sound bytes with regards to BBL and Mamasapano? We can't simply hang our hat on those two things alone. In the same way we can't convict Bongbong for the sins of his parents, I say it's also fair that we mustn't credit him for his parents' accomplishments.
If Ferdinand Marcos was such a great president, why kick him out in the first place? It wasn't the leftists who kicked him out. EDSA was a movement "blessed", if not spearheaded, by the late Cardinal Sin and the students of our so-called elite universities. It's amazing how the passage of time can make the rotten smell fresh.
Has the Marcoses returned all of the ill-gotten wealth? Remember, Bongbong is a beneficiary of and an heir to those ill-gotten wealth. If he can let everyone pretend that bygones be bygones, then he's no better than the politicians we lump together as TRAPOS.
