Yes. It really is bad for the MF to be washed with fabric softener because it will eliminate the electric charge that makes microfiber so effective. After washing the MF with detergent (i don't use powder), try rinsing it with vinegar and water solution then air dry to make if soft and fluffy again.

nabusy si Manoy so karon pa ka post ug balik! I normally use a liquid detergent - Ariel HE in my case. No-no for powdered detergents and fabcon's .

the best way to make the fibers fluffy again would be to put them in a tumble dryer, pero i know kasagaran nato wala ta'y dryer, so air dry lang. Make sure lang na i-"haplag" (mao ba na ang bisaya?? LMAO) ang towels to fluffen up the fibers before hanging them to dry.

^^^ Boss if ako i-claybar ang ako hood, matangtang ba to ang stains like when we tried to use the paint cleaner?

Nakapalit ko ug mother's clay kit. It doesn't mention in the directions about polishing after the claying process.

It only says their follow up with Carnauba cleaner wax or any of the mothers wax products... I assume the Showtime Instant Detailer acts as or substitutes the polishing compound?

boss @friedrich, i'm not too sure if the paint stains can be removed by Clay, did you try it? 100% sure hinuon ko sa paint cleaner tang-tang gyud.

As for the next step after detailing, depende ra gyud na sa state sa paint and sa nakita nako sa imoha, definitely it's time for a polish or even mild compounding. the instant detailer will not act as a substitute for polishing, unfortunately.

wala pa nako na-try, karon lang gabii nako napalit sa SM... i was tempted to buy the Mothers Micro-polishing Glaze (Step 2) too but returned it on the shelves in the end. gikapoy ko ug huna-huna sa process. hehe

regarding the stains, boss - polishing will remove it (Mothers step 2)?

hahaha..ana gyud na, libog kaayo basta sugod pa lang. As for the stain removal, if by hand lang I would suggest you go buy Meguiar's Ultimate Compound, it works wonders in terms of cleaning the paint and making it pop again, even if it's just hand application.

so If I go buy Megs UC, the process would be this?
clay > Megs UC > wax

makaguba sa adlaw ning bisyoha, sakit pod sa bulsa. hahaha. add pa ang sakit sa lawas if you do all these processes by hand. hehe

Yes, you got the steps correct.

Ayay, kung gi-recognize na nimo nga bisyo...aw welcome to the club! LOL.
