press Start > type msconfig in the search programs box

Try using ccleaner. It might be able to remove the software that causes a lot of pop-ups to appear. You may also try googling where you can download ccleaner.

Check also the shortcut/icon of your browser on your desktop. Try to look on the the properties of the icon/shortcut, sometimes naa na siya'y gipang addon sa command line after sa lets say firefox.exe.

Or you can just delete the shortcut and add a new one.
