i'm also planning to move my family to australia. naa mi sa kuwait ron, ako work was avaya telecommunication engineer, although business admin grad ko sa USJR (simang kaayo no?) but most of my experience was in the IT field after graduating mn gud.

quick question lang sir mac, unsa imo specialty sa IT? pila na ka ka-years nagwork ana? ang minimum requirement sa australia kay dapat at least 3 years naka ana nga work to claim 10 points mn tingali to.

ang pagapply sa australia is through points system & if i'm not mistaken, ang minimum score to get a PR visa 189 is 60 points as an IT professional. at least for my case as a telecommunication engineer.

naa pud sila certain points for age so ako pa nimo, apply naka as early as you can. for me 25 points nalang ko ky nalapas nako sa 30 points na age bracket.

anyways, magtinabangay ta diri as much as possible. since pareha mn ta maccebu nga nagsugod pa & pareho pud ta pamilyado na, so here are the things that i came to know from my research.

    1. gather all your documents, diploma, certification(special skills, marriage, birth, employment, etc), passport, basta all important & official papers about you & your family, gather it all & have it ready.

    2. you need to take IELTS exam. if maka-score ka ug band 7 overall, that will give you 10 points. if maka-score ka ug band 8 overall, that will give you 20 points.

it's up to you if you want to take up review classes on IELTS but daghan kaayo resources available sa net, just be diligent & resourceful enough to find them.

    3. you will need to contact an assessment body to evaluate your chosen skillset. i think sa ila ni ms moonwitchbleu was through ACS diba? mine is through EA(engineers australia). anhi ko nakuyawan coz ako baya diploma business admin nya ako work is telecommunication engineer. although naa ko certification sa avaya through pearson vue.

    4. then once if ok nana tanan, submit naka sa EOI through sa immi.gov.au na website. wala pa ni nako nabuhat so i'm not sure what comes next after that.

maybe ms moonwitchbleu can enlighten us what the next steps will be after pagsubmit na nimo sa EOI.
    Hi boss shearts,

sakto ka sa mga gipang mention nga process sa pag apply. mao na diay ni new link sa website sa aus Australian Government Department of Immigration and Border Protection pero ma-redirect ra gihapon mo kung immi.gov.au inyu i.browse. Anyway, check sa ila site ang visa 189 and 190 subclass. naa ang details and points computation dri --> SkillSelect. check ang occupation sa Skilled Occupations List (SOL) for visa 189 and Consolidated Sponsored Occupations List (CSOL) for 190 naa sad dha sa list ang assessing authority. so magpa assess mo some assessing authorities require ielts some dont so i.check sa site sa pa assess-an unsa ang mga requirements. while waiting for result sa assess pwde mo parallel take ug ielts para dli sayang ang time. kato ako self study ra kay madala ra man. btw, from skillselect check ang inyo points para kabalo mo pila ang i.aim ninyo sa ielts para kaabot mo 60 pts, 6 on all bands ra ang require jud pero aim for 7 on all bands kay naa states nga mu require ug 7 or above incase mu decide mo mag 190. katong sa ACS magpa assess automatic deduct na ug 2-5 yrs sa inyo work experience depende sa course na take-up pag college. so after assess and ielts lodge mo eoi application. for 190 specify ninyo ang state inyo applyan. ang NSW kay sila mu pili thru eoi application kung kinsa ila i.invite to lodge SS application, ang uban states kay you can apply directly from their site. Then you will receive invite to apply for visa application na. this will be the last step, anhi na ang medical, police clearance, etc. ang visa processing will take 4 months or more depende sa ka dugay sa assessment result ug sa pag provide ninyo sa mga requirements.

Good luck sa inyu mga application.

IT support ko bossing... mga more than 6 years nako ani na field....

Unsa maning EA og ACS agency ni sila? Mo evaluate ra sila saumo skillset? Y man kinahanglanon pani? Kong naa gyud ka mga certificate kabahin sa imo field..

Ang di lang gyud nako ganahan ani kong maka kuha naka visa kay gamble ang style. Nig abot australia ngita pakag kasudlan unya way kasigurohan kong makakita kag work na linya nimo unless kong nurse or web developer ka.

Believe ko saimo determination boss hopefully puhon maka migrate mo saimo pamilya sa australia.
sila ang authorised to do assessment for your qualifications and work experiences. naa sa CSOL and SOL list ang mga assessing authorities sa kada occupation. both imu education and work experience i.assess ani. dapat closely related na sila and naa to list sa schools sa nga gi group into 3, the school on the first list will be qualified as comparable to aus bachelor so max points makuha sa education which is 15 pts. as for the work experience, dli ra basta2x na certification imo i.provide. it should have your job descriptions that needs to match with ANZCO job description for you occupation, and other details nga gi require sa assessing authority.

the moment you processed your visa, risk na jud na, dako sad biya na amount imo gi buhi-an.

mao jud na concern nako sis kay unsaon man pagka-closely related sa business admin sa ako work as a telecommunication engineer. i've read somewhere na pwede man daw ka makapili ug assessing body nga dili inana ka-stricto.

mao na somewhat disheartened ko karon kay simang ako degree sa ako experience. tiwasan pa na i-terminate ako contract sa current work nako ron kay nag-cost cutting so nisamot jud ko ka-guol.

wa na gai ko nilihok sa ako plan for AU tungod ani nga hitabo. stop tanan hasta self review nako sa IELTS kay siguraduon naa ko work for the time being kay naa ra ba mi gibayran sa cebu lot payment through sa bank. mao na pinakadaku jud nako nga worry aside sa mga needs sa amo baby daughter.

Ma ok ra lagi na tanan sir, dli man gani sa imo gi expect pero bacin much better will come sa inyu family. anyway, pwde man ka sa RPL nga path sa ACS nga assessment, murag you need to provide certificates sa mga short courses ba kaha na imo na take-up mao na abot ka ana nga profession para lang proof nga mao jud na nga occupation imo gi work maski dli related imo course. but be ready sa possible deduction sa imo work experience kay it will be 2-5 years depende sa unsa ka closely related so worst case is -5 years imo work experience. may i know pila ka na ka-years working sa telco? Or if you're planning to take-up master's degree nga related jud sa telco, might as well consider taking it in Aus. Graduating with a master's degree here will give you best chance for PR visa.

nagwork ko as a telco engr for 3 years ma'm. nagself review lang ko para sa certification nako before. so until ma-sort out ni nako ang job issue nako diri, anha pako magthink what ako next move.

actually, mao ni gi-storyahan namo ni misis, we have 2 choices to make nga medyo ma-dala2x sa budget. either magpa-build nami ug balay dira sa cebu or mag-masteral ko.

i understand her sentiment nga dapat naa nami amo jud lugar ig-uli namo pohon kay di nami ganahan mo-uli sa balay sa amo parents. but for my part, if ever makaluy-an ni God nga maka-pasar ko sa ako masteral course, nya pohon makakita ug work ana, aw, pwede na ma-paspasan pagpahimo sa balay.

ako plan nga kuhaon as masteral is not related sa telco but related sa IT field, a course which i should've taken back in college kay super kaayo ka-in-demand ana nga line of work gud but until then, plans ra ni tanan.

and if i remember it correctly, if i finish my masteral course, we will be in the same profession @moonwitchbleu.

ako jud ta goal is maka-work unta ko sa US once ma-finish na nako ang course, especially since US based ang university ako unta applyan.

specifically, either google, facebook, or any of those big names sa US ako target magwork kung kaluy-an lang ni God. but if ever gusto jud ni misis mag-AU, well that's what will happen.

naa man sad naka-advice nako na if ever money jud ako tuyo, US jud but if i want an excellent environment for my kids to grow up with, it will be AU so mao na one of the reasons somehow in the future makalupad mi pohon sa AU.
