Play hard to get. If a guy is really sincere, then mangita gyud na ug paagi and he'll be very persistent. If he's not sincere, he'll not last that long, mawad-an na ug pasensya ug gana and he'll just simply give up and his actions will show it.

Aside from that, get some feedbacks from valuable sources like your friends or maybe some people who know him quite well (maybe not his close friends because for sure they'll defend him). It's always good to have some opinions from others. Weigh up those opinions and of course, trust your judgment and not what you feel.

And lastly, only time can tell whether he's really serious and sincere or not. Give it some time to get to know him more and at the same time, him to you. He can't hide his real self for a very long time and gradually, he'll really show his ture self involuntarily. His intentions will always reflect through his actions.
