kung 2 prong outlet then need jud ug separate grounding wire (left of picutre)... from chasis of equipment to a ground rod (or mcwd tubo)

kung three prong outlet (on the right) the bottom semi circle is intended for grounding. if giconnect na sa electrician sa ground then this serves well it purpose as grounding already.

    ------

now with the computer, the plug of the computer has the third prong grounding connection, the problem is with the AVR, most if not all only has ordinary plug. it only can be use on ordinary outlets on the left side,. walay third prong.

with this, needed jud naa chassis ground wire separately if ordinary AVR lng inyo gigamit.

ingon ani akong gibutang sa akong amigo na grounded ang PC.
    napalit nako sa ace hardware.

nag drill mi ug bangag sa wall then gi screw ang green wire.

I don't know how to say this in any other language ......

My Question is; ang 'outlet' sa ato 3 prong (grounded) or 2 prong? Kin.hanglan ba grounding conductor sa ato according to "Philippine Electrical Code" or dili?

Ang ako pasabot ni.ani kai require (by law) ba sa Pilipnas grounded ang outlet (3 prong) or not. I'm specifically curious about "Philippine Electrical Code" requirement.

Possible answers to my inquiry; 1) Yes, Philippine Electrical Code requires grounding conductors. 2) Yes, PEC requires grounding conductors but not enforced. 3) No, PEC does not require grounding conductors.

Diri overseas kai required by law (NEC) ang grounding conductors . All outlets here (20A, 120V, 1ph, 60hz,) installed since 1959 requires 3 prong (grounded) outlet except kadtong dunay "grandfather" clause.

Salamat da.an to the person(s) who can update me on "Philippine Electrical Code". Basin dunay "Electrical Inspector", "Electrical Designer", or "Licensed P.E." diri.

kanang bangag sa wall kai dili na cya ground.....ang reference sa ground is "earth". kinhanglan duna kai "continuity" to ground/earth with less than 25 ohms impedance for non sensitive electronic equipment. Telecomm. indusrty requires 5 ohms or less impedance.....

Oh i forgot to mention that it was a long screw and it hit a metal (kabilya, and I believe it goes under the ground too.) ug wa mi idea anang impedance and telecom standards, ang amo lang is dili mo sting ug mahikapan ang case . murag wa gyud completely mawala kay kung magtiniil then feet flat on the tile, naa gihapon ma feel inig hikap sa case, feels rough, may na lang ni kay di na maka igking

well this is for a half ass PC pud haha, di sad mo spend akong amigo ug expensive grounding for his 14k rig XD, ok ra siguro tong kabilya sa?, around 1 and 1/2 meter deep ang post - times 16 - , and you know how houses are constructed in THE PHILIPPINES, sumpay tanan kabilya, so I presume , and I may be wrong , layu layu sad gidaganan ang grounding.. so what u think? :P or kaha pwede ba na old metal water pipes? as suggested by other guys here.

P.S - Plug (not the outlet) requires grounding and sometimes not, depende gamit sa appliance.

to reiterate my question: ang 'outlet' (kanang naka ta.od sa bong2X) sa ato 3 prong (grounded) or 2 prong? Salamat da.an.Attachment 13218
Kana depende na sa pagkadesign sa imu balay, if kamao gyud imu electrical engineer dapat naa ka ground line and 3prong imu mga socket sa balay and nakaground through maglubong ka metal connected sa 3rd line, pero if walay budget 2lines ra kasagaran. So if wala 3rd slot ang chasis nlng iground for safety.

I believe required ni sa electrical code pero dli man strict implementation dri sa atoa. Pero dli 100% sure
