3rd bridge between Mactan, Cebu expected to help ease traffic jam

It could be nicer if the old bridge will be dedicated to bicycles only...I beleive that 30 to 40% of people will resort to bicycles...They are just too scared to tread the bridge with cars...I have surveyed in our department alone, almost all would like to use bicycle going to work...That means lower pollution, lower gasoline consumption, lower traffics, healthier people..etc.

I just don't know if the people from government is intelligent enough to study on this move...

that wont work... though i respect people who ride bike... it should be the least priority as of the moment, bike lane is ok if there is a space.... that old bridge cant be closed since most of the traffic coming-in-and-out of mandaue and lapu2 uses that bridge even if naa pay 2nd or 3rd people will still used that bridge... that bridge... they can however implement 1 way scheme on that bridge once the 3rd is done.... and 2nd bridge is constructed not to replace the 1st one but to support it....

I think naana daw ang budget ani pero ambot lang kaha kung asa nga kamot paingon.

budget? its a public-private partnership so it will be the private sector who will fund the construction not the govt.... beside its already starting...

pssst... ayg saba mabasahan unya ma boking ang edad... hahahahahaha... still remember when ang toll-gate sa mactan ug mandaue gi himong barricade durig the kudeta nga si cardinal vidal ray maka tabok2 sa bridge... twas the darkest day of mactan, held hostage for couple days...

before unta tukuron o mhuman ang 3rd bridge which is kanang g buhat mag sumpay sa cordova ug SRP,, dapat palapdan usa ang circumferential road sa lapu2x,, mo huot pag au ang trapiko dha.. bsn 4 lanes lang.. ang kalsada dha sa mepz 1, 4 lanes, lagpad pa kaau inig abot sa gate 5 dapit dha smy ibo bgy hall.. bottleneck na.. balik 2 lanes.
