Sis, allow me to share my point of view. Some may not agree with me but I understand as we have different opinions. But first, dili pa ko dako ug savings. Labi na na Yolandahan sad mi. hehehe When it comes to insurance, I don't believe nga lifetime jud ta need ug insurance. But we need this as an income protection. We need this labi na nga naa pa ta sa start-up stage, meaning ga build pa ta ug wealth. Mu advise ra ko nga kuha ug insurance kung naay ga depend sa imo income like naa na kay family and you may be single but still you are the bread winner of the family. But you need to know unsa jud ang insurance nga mu fit nimo. For me, even nga naa koy insurance sa amo company, I still bought term insurance. Term insurance is the cheapest type of insurance. What I did is gi separate lang nako ang mutual fund ug ang insurance kay for me mas save ni nako and value for your money jud. Most sa gi offer sa mga insurance company is VUL combination sa insurance and mutual fund.
I have a health insurance and healthcare through sa amo company. But I did get Kaiser Long term healthcare and fully paid na. My reason is just to protect my investment during my retirement age. Of course, target jud nako mapa mana sa ako family ang na invest nako, which is mao man jud na ang main purpose nako why I'm investing.
I don't have a memorial plan and no plan to get one. I'm not into pre-need. No offense lang sa mga pre-need agents here. But I'm rebuilding my emergency fund. Of course for emergency purposes. Na wipe-out man pag Yolanda.
Hope this help Sis.
