I dont recommend that. you should replace your UPS batteries with the same rating and capacity. replacing it with truck batteries wont do any good. yes, the discharge time would be long but it would also mean twice the hard work for your UPS charger unit to fully charge those truck batteries. Worst, those batteries will not be recharged at all.

APC brand nowadays i think costs around P2,000.00

Before you guys buy a UPS, make sure you size up your rig right. Consider all i say "all" devices that you would connect to your UPS and how long do you want your UPS to be up after main power interruption.

Mine can go up to 20 minutes of music after power out. So when the neighborhood already become silent, my rig still kicks and shouting!

@tamblot, i checked my ups, 500va bya pudiay ako ups, theres something wrong siguro sa iya battery.
