As much as I admired Indonesia's "no non-sense" stance against Crime, but there's only one question left hanging right now. The same question the Australian authorities are asking.

Why would the Indonesian government grant Chan and Sukumaran 10 years of rehabilitation, then kill them later on? Chan became an ordained Christian and started preaching the gospel for years. Sukumaran, focused on painting and created an art workshop in the prisons. Their lives have changed in the prisons.

one thing I can see is the "conflict" they are having. Their relationship went sour way way back and was making headlines just last year..

Indonesia executions: Prisoners refused blindfolds, singing as they were shot

The mental task of standing on that ground with rifles pointing at you in the last minute of your life is enormous. And I believe singing would be last option you can think of. May God bless their souls.

both person as per news articles were already meted death sentence. there was really no plan to rehabilitate them. when they were convicted it was clear that it was definitely death penalty its just that indonesia had suspended execution during the term with Yudhoyono as he was more lenient in the executions. current president widodo is an advocate of death penalty mainly due to the drug problem indonesia is facing.
