parents are know-it-all persons nor are they gods...a healthy parent-child relationship is a relationship where coomunication is open that can develop genuine trust and preserve true loving relationships. Good parents know how to listen, they are fully aware that their child is an individual apart from them. They allow their children to decide for themselves while providing comfort and assurance that they'll be their when the going gets tough
naaah, we all know better.
not really at all times....because we have to admit that it is us who know ourselves better in terms of what we can do or not than others but we can seek for our parents advice though when it comes to making decisions in life since they underwent the same stages that we are going through now as a way for us to weigh things out but not necessarily having them decide on things for us...
my experience is unique from what my parents went through and while they acquired wisdom from their own experiences, I also stand to gain from my own experience...What I can hope however, that I be made responsible and accountable for my decisions without necessarily being bugged about whatever happens, just let me savor the learning experience and I'll take it from there
That's whar i thought when i was a kid nga parents are always right but now i realized that they are also humans nga masayop pod.
this is for a child and a teenager... in a sense they are correct but saying they are always right is just too much...
if you are at your minority age.. they are always right
good parents may not always BE right... but they always MEAN right
bisag unsahon pag bali-bali, they just want the best for their kids, not wanting harm to come to them...that's why they say and do the things they do... (from my experience... because my parents are not only good, they're the best!)
@love2travel : I agree with you that most parents just want the best for their children.
