Lucifer is an angel hes like God's right hand. the same as Gabriel and Micheal but Lucifer is God's first choice as his assistant of somekind but Lucifer is not contented...he wants to be more than God infact he wants to be God himself and God doesnt like that so he banished Lucifer from the gates of Heaven and transfered Lucifer to Hell and all of Lucifer's fellow angels who are with him and his ideals were banished too thats why they turn into demons or devils. Devils and demons are former angels who hated God's guts. And then God change Lucifer's name to Satan from the Hebrew word: Shatan means the opposer or he who opposes.
