True! Poor drivers are the ones suffering with the P10 deduction despite the gasoline increase trend since January 2015 and no change in the daily taxi rental (abang or boundary)

    Just a recommendation:
Avoid taking the P10 deduction especially if the taxi runs on expensive gasoline and provided a good service.
If the taxi is running on LPG (it usually smells like LPG inside) and the service is not good, you may demand for the deduction.

More taxi operators are opting to run taxis on gasoline for safety and driver/passenger health reasons

From a taxi driver's point of view:

The congressman who filed the rollback petition and the LTFRB Officials used the low gasoline price in December 2014 as basis. Did they expect the low price to last long? Did they not notice the increasing price trend since January 2015 and yet still implemented the decrease? Did they do anything when the gasoline price rose to as much as P50/liter for a long time in 2012-2014? Did they do anything to regulate the daily taxi rental imposed by operators to lessen the impact on drivers? If they are thinking about the low price of LPG, why not impose the P10 deduction only for LPG taxi units?

LPG Conspiracy Theory (A Short Story for Entertainment Purposes Only)

The Consortium is the group of LPG suppliers.
    Dimweet 1 is a politician.
Dimweet 2 is a government office board member.
Dimweet 3 is a government office board member.

Due to the safety and health risks, many operators are switching back to gasoline-operated taxis. Another reason is the low difference between LPG and gasoline cost with the downtrend in gasoline price.

    LPG sales is trending down.

The Consortium convinces Dimweet 1, Dimweet 2 and Dimweet 3 to implement a lowering of fares based on the low gasoline price.

Dimweet 3 - "We know the price is already trending upwards again. Why should we continue the deduction implementation?"

    Dimweet 2 - "Hush..."

Dimweet 3 - "Why not only on the LPG taxi units since LPG is cheap aside from posing as a safety and health hazard?"

Dimweet 1 - "That defeats the purpose. Gasoline taxis will now continue to suffer more with the increasing price. We need to additionally penalize the gasoline taxi units with the flag-down deduction to make them shift to LPG and increase the LPG sales! Remember that the Consortium SUPPORTS us!"

Dimweet 3 - "Wouldn't that make us look bad?"

Dimweet 1 and Dimweet 2 - "Who cares? What matters is that we get the SUPPORT we want!"
