sa 20 ~ 25K na budget ni TS,

kun ako, mag i5 ko... naa baligya sa B&S na i5 CPUS... naka palit gani ko'g isa. then, pair the mobo w/ a H61 based chip set mobo (mao ni akoang gamit ron sa i5-3570 kay drop-in replacement ra man sya sa G530)... pwede ra gyud ning 25K ba... dili lang ma mili'g mga "nice to have" components... daghan kaayo pa ta mahimo ani... like sa memory, naa daghan baligya sa B&S na 4GB DDR3 1333 MHz na barato kaayo... base ra price list na gihatag, sulod kaayo ni sa 25K budget... naka i5 na... this is way better than the haswell i3-4160 na gi quote ni bro wylliexhan on "rendering" work loads... dili ko against sa quote ha... akoa lang gi compare ug gi pakita na sa stated budget, pwede ra ta maka pili ug components na swak sa atoang planned application... if tight kaayo ang budget, dapat, ang unahon kay ang "need" and not the "nice to have"...

sus, sold-out na ang i5-3470. naa pa unta'y isa the other day. pero, contact lang sa seller. basin naa lain coming stocks... pero, naa pa'y isa... i5 3350p... nice ra man pud ni sya both for rendering and gaming as noted by TS on the title of this thread...

by the way, ang gipares na mem modules nko sa i5-3570 kay 2 x 4 GB Avexir core series DDR3 1333 MHz ra. but, sa WEI, 7.9 ang score nya sa memory... lupigan nya ang naka OC na Kingston HyperX Beast nko (stock: 1600; OC: 2133 MHz) w/ an OC'ed i5-2550K (@ 4.6 GHz)... score nya kay 7.8 lang on memory... pasabot, mas better ang controller sa IB compared sa SB... ah, kun maka lugar, akoa unya tong kuha-an ug benchkmark for comparison...


pang puno lang... sa workstation rig sa akoang bro (desktop PC based), akoang gi DIY ug gihatag nya kay i7-3770 w/ an Asus H61 chip set based mobo w/ 8 GB DDR3 1600 MHz mem modules (2 x 4 GB) and 2 GB DDR5 HD 7770 GHz Edition GPU... application nya kay AutoCAD... akoang gi palitan lang ni'g i7 para mas better performing ang rig during rendering work load. CPU driven man ang rendering activity sa AutoCAD... bought the i7-3770 here sa istorya also... sa B&S... that was also a big catch...


here's the quick benchmark comparison as I've mentioned sa taas on the mem performance on my i5 rigs... akoang gi kuha-an ug 2 DIMMs ang gaming rig (i5-2550K) para the same sila na naka 8 GB... benchmark software used was AIDA64 Extreme Edition... gi pa eat my dust ang entertainment rig... hehehe... so, bottom line, for actual performance benchmark, let's scratch the WEI score... by the way, after akoang gi save balik ang info sa CMOS sa gaming rig then set the mem speed at 1866 MHz, nag 7.9 score na sya sa memory nya... toinks... kani lang 1866 MHz speed kay kun 2133, layo kaayo ang biya.. lain2x man pud ni sila'g actual HW man gud... dili ni apple-to-apple comparison... hehehe... pang additional info lang ni ha... this is not related sa post ni TS...
