Nice to know about but personally? I really dont give a sh*t! We have our own problems here much worse than that. And honestly speaking, Indonesia is far better off right now compared to the Phils. Wanna talk bout slavery, look at the kids here being abducted to be sold as prostitutes or be controlled by syndicates.
Don't you think that also happens here? Nobody just cares to expose it on media? Ours even involve underage kids of fishermen going out to sea to catch tuna or whatnot. Let us focus on our problems, not theirs.![]()

Although the scenario is thousands of miles from our country, but this sheds light on this issue. We can say that these problems aren't ours to meddle, or we can keep minding our own business but whistles need to be blown. This is happening to our country even today.
Housemaids paid below minimum, *** dens showcasing children below 12 years of age, TUNA cargo workers in General Santos city working for a measly 80 pesos. And NURSES IN HOSPITALS WHO WORK WITH NO PAY! YES, THIS IS ONE FORM OF SLAVERY!
The Philippines ranks 98 among 162 countries in the world with the most number of modern-day slaves. It is number 12 among Asian countries.
because someone from the philippines receives 15,000+ pesos can't be called slaves when in fact, the same position in america receives close to 10 times the salary...this...is corporate slavery...
there are things in the world that don't mend with our understanding to anything...it's up to us to understand and be logical about it...
in this case, just trying to earn a living...it's just that our "metal doors" are wonderful doors at our offices and not the literal metal cage...
.
aren't we all slave from our ambitions?
btw... this is common diri sa pinas one example katong taga opon nga na rescue sa palawan... it was on the news lately...
