clarification lng sa ako DSL connection

nag speed test ko karun around 9:00AM, ako gi stop daan akung torrent download then ng speed test ko. mao ni result sa ako speed test ay:

pro ngano consistent man akong download speed sa uTorrent na bsan pa ang seeds sa file na akong gi download ky mo abot mn ug 60-65 ?
mag man tinir rjd tawn ko og download speed na 30KBps sa akong 384KBps "daw" na connection sa PLDT myDSL..

di ba kaha sa file ni na akong gi download? pro dghan na akong di download na rjd xa sa range nga 25-30KBps downstream.

e enlighten kuno ko ane mga masters!

mao pud... sometimes naa pud na sa other end. kung daghan pud nagload ana na file muhinay jud ang downloading.

Speedtests does not really compute your throughput like some speedtests claim to be.. it only measures your burst rate. Both PLDT and Globe et. al. offer burst DSL services for resedential plans.. unless you get their premium services.

re: Download

Most download measurements use the kBps (kilo Bytes per second) rating and your DSL connection use the kbps (kilo bits per second) rating. Hence, you have to multiply the download speed your getting by 8. So in your example wherein you're only getting 30kBps, multipy that by 8, you approximately have 240kbps throughput.

kana speed sa dsl bro if they say 384kbps is burstable na siya. 384kbps is dili na cya Committed Information Rate (CIR) ang naay CIR kana mga companaies na naay Service Level Agreement (SLA) na if they subscribe 384kbps mao gyud na ang speed niya.

share lang ko hap? 384KBps is ang max bandwith na gi.offer sa pldt bro bt dli rman ikaw ra ang nggamit ana na network, mura man gud na ug theory sa hub naa specific maximum bandwith ang hub bt madivide na cya f pila ang nakaconnect sa hub.. plus first come first serve man gud na f kinsa makauna ug agi sa linya of course cya gyd ang bulahan sa tanan..

Torrent requires incoming and outgoing connection to function properly. Check if you have enabled your port where the torrent is listening for inbound connection. If you do not let others to connect to you, by not opening your port, you will never achieve the maximum download capacity
