This could be a motivation. If Duterte will allow US to establish bases here to counter Chinese encroachment, then could be very viable for him to run if not win as president. Though for other matters in Mindanao such as the Sabah dispute, I am not quite sure.

Though if the Sabah issue would be a priority, if Marcos should run that is a definite possibility. For 2016, it is still quite hard to see how it will go. The safe bets people will see would be an obvious Binay, not sure about the others since Liberal is literally in disarray.

I just don't understand what use the US got from PNoy but maybe due to the fact that he was able to loan again and squander the gains from the past admin. Also, the Aquino brand no longer works they simply can't make it back again.

I would love to see a solid Defensor-Duterte tandem, or vv. Either way, they both have the guts to resolve or at least lessen corruption, and address the issues in Mindanao. They will have a very hard time trying to increase the Philippine's financial status, as it was all or mostly wasted by gaynoy.
