Job Description:
Working directly with the Team Lead and other SEO team members, the role of Link Builder requires the successful candidate to be able to analyse the relevancy and quality of online brands to use for marketing, evaluate a way to engage with a member of that business and negotiate with them to get approval for a link / advertising. Improve and implement scalable email outreach templates, negotiations and follow-up strategies to never miss opportunities.
The techniques within the role are not limited to any particular strategy as it is encouraged for team members to partake in a lot of different approaches, such as, ghost writing requests, opinion editorials, broken link building, content syndication, etc. Applicants should grasp the concept of all links not being equal and have a sound understanding of creating references that could assist in rankings, sales and exposure for clients.
Key challenges will include acquisition strategies that the SEO ‘experts’ do not talk about and around creating unique strategies that prospects would never have seen before. Keeping on top of algorithm updates released by search engines to make sure link tactics are staying within their guidelines. In addition, one of the hardest challenges will be for the successful candidate to hit all Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) for clients, pushing forwards with new tests and strategies.
With this demanding but integral position, candidates must already have experience with English communication, negotiating for placements and refining data. To be really successful in this position, applicable must be passionate about growing their knowledge, constantly reading on new strategies and pushing the boundaries past the normal ‘link building’ industry.
