THE Metropolitan Cebu Water District (MCWD) warns of an eight-hour water supply interruption in some areas of Talisay City and some areas of Cebu City.
The interruption is scheduled on Friday, March 6, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Engr. Ernie Delco, assistant general manager for operations of MCWD, said the service interruption is due to a scheduled Veco power outage in Talisay City, which will affect the operation of booster pumps of Abejo Wells, one of their bulk suppliers.
An estimated 200 to 300 households from Oprra and Peace Valley in Cebu City will be experiencing a shutdown of water supply, while not less than 2,000 households in Barangays Lawaan, Mojon, Pooc, Tabunok, San Isidro, Lagtang, Bulacao and Talisay City, will experience low water pressure. Also affected will be Pardo and Capitol Site in Cebu City.
Affected areas are advised to store enough water.
MCWD assured there will be enough water supply in trucks stationed in areas in case of emergencies.
