Daghan kau bago abot procs sa PCX last time i visited.
daghan kau nangabot nga AXP x2 4000, AXP x2 5600 and x2 6000+(125w)
barato ra ila 5600+ 8k lang

thats good if you already have and AM2 setup... but if 939 pa imong setup unya ganahan na kaayo ka mo-upgrade, then it would just be a waste... why bother upgrading to AM2 if you can build a faster setup going core2 at about the same price. mao nay nahitabo nako... ganahan kaayo ko sa akong AMD setup before... socket 939 pa to...Originally Posted by brown_dog
because AM2 setup is cheaper, and has very good performance.
If I would build a budget PC I would definately go for the x2 5600+ (8k) or x2 6000+(10k) which performs similarly to E6600(11.3k)
but the core2 E6750 is only 9,500 and is faster than x2 6000+Originally Posted by brown_dog
When you go overclocking the E6750 is definately limited.
The 6000+ is way more overclocable than the E6750.
6000+ has 15 max maultiplier while the e6750 is only 8.
When it comes overclocking the 6000+ can reach way more higher clocks compared to the limited mutiplier of the E6750. you can rarely reach 3.6ghz with e6750 Compared to the 6000+ 15 mutliplier you can go an extra edge in overclocking.
I dont know about this but it surprised me just to analyze that manufacturers are currently considering the Overclockability of their products.
And we all know the main criteria when choosing processors and its OCability and architechture.
well the name e6750 is just for marketing. E6600 can go e6750's speed with out a sweat and the e6750 cant oc as high as the e6600. 6000+ as well can out OC the E6750.
IMHO: core2 processors overclock better than AMD athlon X2 processors... thats because the memory controller in AMD processors, are built inside the processor... its like having the processor and the northbridge chip in one... inside the processor...Originally Posted by brown_dog
i can show you my E6750 reaches 3.6ghz... at 450x8... if you want... and the performance gains in the core2 overclocks are way beyond what the X2 6000+ can gain at 3.6ghz. i bet... if anyone here have the x2 6000+, it can barely reach 3.4ghz...
IMHO: a 450x8 overclock is better than a 250x15 overclock... and besides... overclocking is not just about increasing the multipliers...
edit: you just need to have a good mobo...
here's my E6750 at 3.6ghz...
here's the cpuz validation...
