Did St Peter had a wife? Apparently so, since he had a mother-in-law.

Let’s consider Matthew 8:14-15 and Luke 4:38-39, which say that Peter’s mother-in-law was sick with a fever. Jesus rebuked the fever. It left her, and she got up and served him and his companions.

Most often fundamentalists are often surprised to learn that even today celibacy is not the rule for all Catholic priests. In fact, for Eastern Rite Catholics, married priests are the norm, just as they are for Orthodox and Oriental Christians.

The tradition in the Western or Latin-Rite Church has been for priests as well as bishops to take vows of celibacy, a rule that has been firmly in place since the early Middle Ages. Even today, though, exceptions are made. For example, there are married Latin-Rite priests who are converts from Lutheranism and Episcopalianism.

Peter was probably married and so are most of the other apostles and probably some if not most of the church Fathers until clerical celibacy has been instituted by the Latin Church.

the main reason for this is to have the priest's focus/attention undivided between ecclesiastical and family affairs..

biblical support for clerical celibacy would be 1 Cor. 7:32-34
"The unmarried man is anxious about the affairs of the Lord, how to please the Lord; but the married man is anxious about worldly affairs, how to please his wife, and his interests are divided. And the unmarried woman or girl is anxious about the affairs of the Lord, how to be holy in body and spirit; but the married woman is anxious about worldly affairs, how to please her husband "

the verse doesn't mean that St. Paul is against marriage, he perhaps suggest that marriage is somewhat a lesser state in life than consecrated celibacy, see 1 Cor. 7:38 "So that he who marries his betrothed does well and he who refrains from marriage will do better"
which makes sense, lisud i-prioritize ang panginahanglan sa simbahan kung duna pud tay obligasyon ug panginahanglan sa atong pamilya nga atimanonon.

i'm not sure i get what you mean by question no.2 because Apostle John or any other gospel and new testament writers were not tasked to write the books that we now call the new testament instead, they were inspired by the Holy Spirit hence their writings are deemed holy, sacred and even as God's word by the Church.. and it was St.Linus who succeeded St.Peter who was then succeeded by St.Anacletus.

bitaw the fullness of Christ is present in the consecrated host.
However, there are instances like sa giingun ni jeilof that communicants are able to take a sip or dip the host in it especially within smaller congregations. personally naka suway ko ana..

catechism of the catholic church is basically where you can find every catholic teaching and doctrine.

priesthood is a sacrament instituted by Christ and is one of the sacrament of holy orders.
the first set of priests would be Christ's disciples, the authority given to them were the same authority given to our priests today..
so murag lisud na bai to disregard the authority of priests if you're catholic. just saying..

it is customary bai to give something for whatever services have been provided for us, in the case of priests.. we call that stipend which could be in any amount really..although service na ilang gibuhat pero kita isip giserbisyohan mag huna-huna nalang pud ta ug hatag ug something isip pasalamat.
if wala jud kay ikahatag, ok ra man pud..i've known several priests who would still do the services maski pa ug walay stipend as well as those who would politely refuse to accept the stipend.
pagkasal nako, wala man nangayo ug stipend ang pari..wa gani ning attend sa reception..ug iya pud gibalibaran among gitunol sa iya, yawat nalang daw makatabang sa pagsugod sa among kinabuhi isip minyo..hehehe

now in the event that a priest would refuse to perform catholic rites because walay ikahatag nga stipend ang hingtungdan, then let's pray for him ug unta muabot iyang gaba..LOL joke ra na bro

like you said earlier bro, duna kay mga kaila nga pangwarta kaayo nga mga pari, have you prayed for them? what did you pray?
