If I may ask, are we capable to provide air support in an incident such as this? Does our PNP-SAF do have similar assets such as that of AFP? If I am not wrong we have few MD-520MG assets that is within that area. I saw the news and heard General Catapang saying and I quote "Di po kami basta-bastang makikialam sa sitwasyon na 'yon...."

Hearing Pnoy pointing finger at the SAF chain is absolutely unacceptable. I guess yong chain of command would somehow end up at his office as the commander-in-cheif...

yes we are capable enough, a artillery support was requested by the SAF... afaik the AFP fire white phosporous on the grid via howitzer hoping would scare the MILF (MI are very afraid with the howitzer... it can make anyone disapear in a second...), since SAF wasnt able to provide specific grid coordinates that may result in friendly fire with the pinned down troops... and its true that their hands are tied... i heard stories army troopers wanted to help them but they are not allowed because of the cease-fire...
