Audiophile Thread!

Im thinking of venturing into a new pair of iems either im50 or 70 from audio technica and have a couple of questions in mind.
1.) I really have issues with headphone durability, my m4 only lasted 10 months even with proper care, with that in mind Ive read that the cables for the ath iems are replaceable or detachable, if I was gonna buy replacement cables how much would it cost.
2.) I listen to all kinds of music but prefer the sound of piercing guitar leads, piano solos and beautiful vocals, but not in a manner that would compromise the bass as I usually use that as a guide to determine the chords used in a song if ever I want to cover it. My question is would the said iems fit my style?
3.) The best headphones that Ive invested in was a pair of brainwavz m4s, Would buying the im 50 or 70 make any noticeable difference from the m4s that I often wear?

havent tried any of those IEMs you mentioned so i really cant comment on them, but based on your listening preferences, you like a Mids-centric sound with a hint of punchy bass thats not too thick. Grados are the king of Mids with a forward,in-your-face sound, but they are about 3-4x the price of those ATH hope someone here can comment about them

naorder na nako ang ath m50rd sa egghead manila sir, expected karon muabot. murag sa dac/amp na sad ko nangita. i know kining pangutana nako daghan na nangutana pero asay mas nindot for desktop audiophile, magsoundcard asus essence stx or fiio e17?

since this is an audiophile thread, off kors daghan pud audiophile na nigamit og turntable for the purpose na mas nindot ang sound quallity sa vinyl compare sa CD or copressed files such mp3/mp4 etc..

so far lupig na ang Shure sa sound quality sa Ortofon, which is by the way mahal na kaayo karon ang stylus ana

just got lucky lang napalit na nako sa surplusan pakapin na sa turntable na ako gipalit, sure ko audiophile gyud ang tag iya ato na turntable.

Kung naa naka end of the line speaker boss, no need ns headphones... Otherwise a good headphone is a worthy addition to your collection. Try it, dli ka mag mahay. Of course, ayaw lang pud patuyang sa volume arn dli ma bungol hehehe.

anyway stock rani ako speaker dinhi which a Panasonic ang brand 6ohms ang impedance, since solid state paman ako gamit..

if maka upgrade ko to tube amps, I'm planning to invest on some Celestion Speakers, I think mao nay the best speaker para sa tube amps.

Wow! Na bungol jud? I listen to headphones with a reasonable volume level raman pud, so far ok pa man akong hearing... There are others though that I can hear the sound from their can even if I'm a few feet away na... Murag mini speakers...

yep pikas eardrum sa ako papa buslot gyud, so isa nalng ang functioning, bisan kana mga tube amps maka buslot pud na sa eardrum labi na kusog na kaayo ang volume level.

one example ani kay si Ted Nugent, buslot pud na iya ear drum.

mao gyud na isa sa reason na kung maminaw ko music, minimal ra gyud ako volume, di na kaayo ko palabi pakusog kay sa experience sa ako papa dili lalim...


P.S. ang effect ana dili mana diha diha dayon... pag edad 55 sa ako papa diha pa ni effect after years of abuse.. grabe to ako papa gud bisan matolog naka headphone...
