Need help deciding guys, Laptop > Gaming Desktop vs Keep my laptop

Currently live away from home right now, and I stripped my own gaming rig few months ago of it's gaming parts to get a mid range laptop
Naa ko work sa Cebu but im renting a room
My laptop is a 6-month old HP i5 4200U, GT740M 8GB ram etc etc. kaya kaya ra man jud niya ang mga old games nako med to max, but maglisod jud xa sa mga bago like FC4, DAI even at low settings
I dont really game much anymore, but makaguol lng usahay ang low fps sa uban games

naa koy 2 idea scenarios:

#1 Keep my laptop, Buy a PS4 (planning pd ko since im looking forward to FF15), and agwanta lng sah until makabuy ug PS4

OR

#2 Sell my laptop, (my sister is willing to take it off my hands for a little less bnew price), then buy ug full fledged gaming itx-desktop (para madal2x rapd nko ug uli), naka-short list nako ug parts for roughly the same amount, i3-haswell, 750ti, 8gb ram, asrock mobo, etc etc. and hold off buying a PS4 to maybe next year lng sah, im also planning to go into photography as a side hobby

Ask lng ko sa inyo mga opinions and perspectives, experiences maybe? which one makes more sense?

if dili inconvenient sa imo magdala dala ung bagage, then itx-desktop is a better choice, this fills your gaming and multimedia needs at better performance...
