^ naka gamit ko's tanan brand (from the '90s to date) sa mga HDD Sis' (apil tong mga brands na wla na karon kay gipalit sila sa current HDD companies na active karon sa market)... taod2x naman ko aning passion nato... more than 2 decades nako ani... pero, sa akoang personal experience, mao ra ni ang HDD na naguba sa akoang mga kamot.

current HDDs nko ron kay mga Western Digital, Hitachi & Toshiba... naa ko diri isa ka 320 GB Seagate pud... naa pa diay ang akoang Fujitsu 110 GB 2.5" 5400 rpm PATA HDD sa balay. nag dagan pa sa rig sa akoang 5 yrs old nephew. bought that HDD last 2006 or 2007... dili nko maka recall sa actual year sa pag purchase nka nya... nag perform sya like bnew... zero bad sector sya from the time na napalit sya nko to date... Toshiba ang naka palit sa Fujitsu HDD business...

for the record, daghan kaayo ko'g HDDs na nag dagan pa hangtod karon na age nila, more than 6 years na... isa ra ang naa'y bad sector. kani ra ang Seagate 320 GB 3.5" 7200 rpm SATA HDD na naa nko diri. 9% health ang prompt sa HD Sentinel pero, performance nya, is like Bnew... wla ra man problema. basin, ang firmware ani ang problema. akoa na ni gi low level format then wla ma'y bad sector na nakit-an... personally, dili ko choosy sa HDD brand and model... ang pili-on lang nako kun mag palit ko kay ang price or ang intended use nko. if OS drive, a "muist" kay 7200 rpm. if storage drive, a 5400 rpm HDD will do... like the WD Caviar Green. ok ra ni para storage drive. got 6 of these drives and all are performing the same gikan sa pag palit nko. age nila kay > 4 yrs and ang latest kay less than a month. had bought the latest WD green drive (2 TB) para nila dha sa balay ug akoang napalit diri sa B&S sa istorya last 2 weeks ago man siguro to... akoang gihatag sa akoang bro for his additional storage drive... padala ra ko'g pam-bayad then sya na ang ni contact sa seller kun asa sila mag transact...
