or are there other restaurants u can recommend? we have visitors from london... and i was assigned to pick the restaurant for our lunch... help pls

Zirv, my comments serve as my thoughts on the subject, and being in the food industry for many years in various settings, share what I have learned, discovered, and created to our fellow members

If you're directing your reply to me with the capitalized words, similar to yelling (in chat terms), then I would take that offensively and I believe, being the educated person you are having gone through six sigma training and what your seemingly remarkable resume would say, one like you would have replied in a cultured fashion?

I will inform my friend not to freeze their bananas so not to offend people like you having very high standards, and probably convince them to get certified in Six Sigma training.

Please inform your friend to use fresh banana

not the one that is frozen for days and that has turned into a darker color.

Better yet

Let your friend make a drink with fresh banana and compare it with the one using frozen banana.

There are many restaurants you can take them to. I would suggest you let them experience our culture. I wouldnt want to eat filipino food if i went to London.

I would recommend you have a casual lunch, and go out for a fancy dinner since the ambience is best at night. Ambience at Abaca is great, but food is not impressive at all.

You would also want to take them to a place where you've been, not to a place where you'll be dining fo the first time. Familiarity is important, and as hosts, it's best to know what you're getting your guests into.

If you know your way going to Shangri-la Mactan, keep going straight passing Hilton. Until youl see a small signage to your left that says ABACA. Honk your horn. Happy Dining

try the sandwiches and cakes & pastires at Cafe Miro.. delicious! will do a review soon.

i suggest the black forest ham hsandwich (I am unsure of the name but it's something like that)

I would like to invite everyone to ila puti at the sykes building in F. cabahug St. We're open 24 hours. i would like to get some comments from you guys. We will have several new dishes by next week for your review! =)

I would like to share my experience when i dined at ur Synergies branch two weeks ago..

Since i was looking for a quiet place to eat, study for my board exam and take advantage of the free-wifi, i opted to try your restaurant over the other food establishments at the building. It was my first time to eat at Ila puti. When we entered, i was pleased with the ambiance and with its cleanliness. We went straight to our table and got settled. We waited for somebody to come and take our order, but none came. I glanced at the girls standing by the counter, and saw that they were just chatting. I told one of them that we were ready to have our orders taken, but the girl said that orders will be taken sa counter. I do not mind having to do this, but she could have told us that info instead of wating for us to wonder why there is no one coming to our table, especially since they were not busy and we were the only costumers at that time. So we approached the counter but had difficulty in ordering because the menu posted did not include pictures or description of the dishes. When i inquired about this, the girl told me that the pictures are there in the posters hanged sa glass facing outside, and i have to go outside the resto if i wanted to see it. I was at the brink of feeling exasperated by this inconvenience, if not for her polite manner of answering. So what i did was I had to let her describe in detail the entrees before we got to decide wat to order. When we went back to our tables, i noticed other customers coming in who just like me, waited for somebody to come and get their orders until they realized that they have to go to the counter themselves.

This i have to admit: The food was very very good. The beef dish i had was cooked in a different but pleasing way. even my husband liked the fish that he had. The price is also ok.

I have no regrets about trying this restaurant and i wouldnt mind eating there again. I believe that they just need to improve a bit on their service, and everything would be good. :mrgreen:

@ PUTI ---- yun din pala puti! wala ka description! hehehehe maau na lang nga takaw jud mi so we sorta made 1+1 and came up with the right idea of which dish it was etc.

Thank you for your comment. We have addressed this several times and obviously needs reinforcement. I have spoken to my staff earlier today regarding this matter.

we have also decided to print menus with food description for each table so you guests can browse through the list and decide before going to the counter. The menu will also state that orders are to be placed at the counter so guests are aware that it's a pay-as-you-order purchase.

Photos of ur products will also be up on the menu board. The board has been fabricated and will be done in 2 weeks time.

I'm glad that you find the food delightful. We look forward to your return as well as guests that youll recommend us to.
