switches nowadays are called switch hubs, kay rason sa uban, consumer daw wa kaila og switch, gusto nila hub.

customer: naa my hub?
vendor: naa mi switch sir, mas maayo ni keysa hub.
customer: di ko anang switch, wa ko kaila, hub lang

customer: pwede nako pa ilisan og switch?
vendor: d pwede sir, kay no return no exchange, kung walay guba.
customer: wa man ka ni ingon nga hub pod diay nang switch, ingon ako migo.

hello guys,

naa sad ko problm about anang connection..

im using d-link switch 16 port 10/100mbps
the distance of the workstation from server is almost 350 meter away.

the scenario is from the SERVER going to switch 16 port then
distributed to the switch 8 port, almost 5pcs switch 8 port im using to reach the
workstation..sad to say dili continues ang connection kung akong e-ping ang server.
kay naa man gud program na ginagamit..naa ba u idea ani para dili maputol putol
ang iyang connection?
im using crossover.

If your cable is properly crimped and wala moagi ug dagko na voltages ang linya, aw i mean wala mosikit sa electrical line dili jd na maputol putol imong connection. double check your ethernet cable, wala ba napiko or wala ba niagi ug mga balast sa mga suga.

workstation to switch must be 100m max. beyond that you need a repeater in every 100m or a switch instead.

korek!!! try to check kung naay isa ka segment nga layo jud kaau and mo exceed cya ug 100 meters, try to break it down to 100 meters max

depende sad cguro oi kung unsa nga tindahan ang imong gi duol.... kung mo adto ka ug electrical supply and mo ingon ka palit ka ug switch, don't tell me mo ask pud cla nimo ug "pila ka ports imo gusto?" hehehehe... peace bro....
